Guest guest
manju thanks for such a feed back this was the idea of a `2 week window' by which time such ID's like urs can respond and will be in, I was only suggesting this as a way out to rid dormant ID's that spring viruses, worms, the crooks who write it have abused them. as most of them happened to be v senior members here. when they are busy or not in has be a launch pad and they will never know as they dont log. prashant "Manjunath, T (GE Healthcare)" <T.Manjunath (AT) geind (DOT) GE.com> wrote: Dear Prashant ji.. i cannot login to from the workplace but can recieve email from the group. please consider this scenario as well before any action can be taken rgds manju _____ [] On Behalf Of Prashant Kumar G B Thursday, November 09, 2006 4:13 PM Re: block my id from the group 9/11- a reqest Deaar Ashutosh, Good to know this is possible. I was checking with a few on such moves if possible to check on dormant ID's, non JR loggers anymore etc. just as if we don't log into mail for 90 days our INBOX is cleared and after 120 days or os our ID is frozen. CAN WE NOT TAKE STEPS TO WEED OUT SUCH members who have not logged for a yr, a group mail can be sent to them once and a time frame of 2 weeks given to respond and delete their entry, if they want let them come back afresh. THIS WILL CLEAR THE VIRUS/WORM, launced from absentee members ID's, also give us the true strenght, the strenght that counts. after all we are not a NBFC to say we have so many depositers and brign many more in, serious numbers are good enough for us we grow in mutual company. Guest guest
Dear Moderator, Considering the number of members participating actively in the group,I agree with the suggestion to quarantine the dormant/inactive Ids. This would help to limit the virus possibility. This can be best done thru a general notification issued once a week for nwxt 4 weeks. This would be socalled notice period.you will certainly receive objections/suggestions. After taking stock of the situation, implement what is best. This would be a rational, democratic process. Guest guest
Manju, it isa big relief that u took it in the right spirit and I hope u support this move and I do wish some more feed back comes, though this is covering the expected concern of genuine cases like urs., and hope our moderator also examines this and slowly set this process on.
