Reasoning behind malefic/benefic ishta devatas: For Guru Visti

Pranaams Visti-ji and other teachers:

 

Your classes on Ishta/Dharma devatas and AK are really enlightening

and I am grateful for this knowledge.

 

However one of the things that confused me was the recent class where

you were explaining how the ishta being a natural malefic can give

troubles.

 

I was under the impression that only the benefic/malefic nature of

the AK was important in determining how you are tested. I humbly

request your assistance in the following questions.

 

1. Since ishta devata is determined by the AK, if the AK is benefic

like Guru (implying that you will learn lessons signified by Guru),

shouldnt the ishta devata (whether benefic or malefic) follow the AK ?

 

2. Are Saturn, Rahu as ishta devatas in the 9th house of the rashi

chart still malefic and what happens when these planets become

yogakarakas ?

 

3. Can AK planet be the palana devata if its in the 6th from AmK, or

should i take the dispositor of AK planet ?

 

4. In my case Sa who is (4th+5th lord of rasi in cancer) becomes

ishta and palana devata. In D-9 this Sa conjoins my Dharma devata Ve

in Virgo. Further this Sa and Ve are disposited by my Guru Devata Me

in Gemini with Rahu. So from this should I infer that the Guru takes

control of religion/spirituality in my life ??

 

5. For curses I only give importance if AK, Lagesha or 8th lord are

involved. But should I consider a curse where a benefic AK (Gu) is

aspecting the planet giving the curse (Me) to Sa and Ma. ?

guidance.
