Dear friends,

Emerald is like a grass green, transparent and sparkling Gemstone.Green colour always makes a person calm-cool & peaceful. So as it is highly useful for better understanding and harmony in between husband and wife relation. Therefore one can use it quite frequently because now a days this is a big problem among most of spouses but to use it before checking the birth chart will be safer and more effective.

It bestows intellect, improves memory and helpful in epilepsy and insanity up to the some extent.Emerald is quite beneficial for stability in business and for getting prosperity.

Dear Mr. Shashie Shekhar,

//It seems you are going towards rigidness.//

I had thought that the points I made were valid...quoting texts in support

of my argument wherever possible. I'm a little disappointed that you

interpret this as being rigid.

//Ok i do accept your views because i am a mercurian person having Gemini

ascendant along with the placement of Mercury in 7th house too & my wife

also has Mercury in 7th house but there is no quarells at all.Endurance is

one of the main quality of Mercury.//

We know that when the same placement occurs in both horoscopes (as with Kuja

dosha for instance) the dosha effect is nullified...is this not so?

No doubt the current state of Mercury is showing it's effect on those for

whom Mercury is a predominant planet. I know I'm feeling the effect of this

(unfavourable) transit. Dasa lord Mercury (dispositor of lagnesh Sani),

although exalted in 9th, is certainly presenting me with numerous

difficulties in regards to communications at this time. I'm looking forward

to tomorrow when I'll be away from the computer for most of the day...a much

needed respite :-)

//Mercury is a masculine and Saturn is feminine.//

You should argue this point with the learned sages...it is they that declare

Saturn and Mercury as Neuters.

I hope, you will realize it later on after getting more experience.//

Personal insults are totally unnecessary Mr. Shashie Sharma. I have been

studying/practicing jyotish since the early '80's and have managed a

discussion forum for the last 5 of my 63 yrs. I think I have adequate

experience, thank you.

Best Wishes,

Dear Mrs.Wendy,

It seems you are going towards rigidness.Ok i do accept your views because

i am a mercurian person having Gemini ascendant along with the placement of

Mercury in 7th house too & my wife also has Mercury in 7th house but there

is no quarells at all.Endurance is one of the main quality of Mercury.I

argued you with authority owing to my own experiences but in decent &

intelect manner truly due to the Mercury and they are not fond of debate. In

fact they think too deeply and make a lot of threads in their mind for

debating but they become very shy at the time of debate or arguement.I am

not disobey our age old texts. These are 100% right but you stated influence

of other planets effects on the nature of other planet so as DESH, KAAL &

PARISTHITI always do effect on the results surely. In past Mahadasa of

Jupiter was presumed the best because it gives satisfaction and pure

thinking but now a days Jupiter Mahadasa is the sign of depression. These

days Mahadasa of Venus and Mercury

are called the best.

Mercury is a masculine and Saturn is feminine.I hope, you will realize it

later on after getting more experience.Mercury promotes endurance not

quarrels and i wear two Emeralds and my wife one for ultimate harmony in

married life & we are fully satisfied and happy.

Dear Wendy

I have Mercury in 7th, am Gemini rising - you already know that. Adding a

little of my knowledge to this discussion. Especially since my Mercury is

BANG ON the 7th cusp.

Fickleminded - ness? - yes. Have taken my own sweet time, and broken a few

hearts, before deciding to settle down. I am getting engaged in December

most likely (Venus will transit 7th at the time).

Promote quarrels? - yes and no - I guess this has to do with debates and

also with overly intellectual behaviour. I have been accused of being too

"thinking" and less "feeling". So the "promote quarrels" part refers to

overtly intellectual behaviour - IQ instead of EQ.

I have never heard of Mercury or Saturn having gender either.

Regarding descent, learning and affluence, my would-be is highly educated

(from prestigious institutions), from a good family and is generally well

settled / well placed. He is, however, more EQ-ish than I am. My Saturn-Moon

exchange is also responsible for my detached behaviour.

I have never heard of Mercury having any kind of endurance.....that is a

trait I would associate with Saturn, followed by Rahu, Sun and Mars, in that

order. Even Jupiter and Venus don't have much "endurance" per se. Endurance,

tenacity, etc., are more a function of the malefics than the benefics.

And for the "getting more experience" part - all I can say is - really, dont

bother - surely you have better things to do than reply to crap? I am 29,

so I suppose by the same benchmark, now I will need to get a few decades of

experience before I start writing Jyotish-related anything. Bye bye list,

see you after 50 years.

Rgds,

K.

Dear Wendy and Ravindramani,

Many thanks for your kind wishes, I do hope we have your blessings.

Ravindramani, I am more likely to analyse the transits when the marriage

does take place :-) We haven't discussed wedding plans yet, first we are

focussing on getting engaged.

Given my chart though, the timeframe around 10 February looks very promising

:-)
