Guest guest
Dear Jagannath da, I am taken aback by your statement that Vishnu Sahasranama has no meaning ! Can't believe that of all, u will say such a thing !! Every single name denotes a certain dynamics of creation whose original germplasm is known as Vishnu. Just like from a grain-sprout one full tree springs up, similary when Vishnu, the original seed, sprouted ( depicted by Lotus coning out of his navel) the entire creation came into existence. Thus, its all dynamics are associated with Vishnu. "Sahasra" or thousand here doesn't mean just 1000 but "MANY / INNUMERABLE". Contemplation on each term reveals a particular dynamics in creation. This is on a spiritual /yogic level, not on mere intellectual level. Shankaracharya has given a beatiful insight on the Vishnu Sahasranama which can be accessed at : http://www.ecse.rpi.edu/Homepages/shivkuma/personal/music/vishnu-sahasranamam-meanings.htm Shri Brijesh ji can and read. regards, Yashendra jagchat01 <jagchat01 > wrote: Vishnu Sahasranama has no meaning. It is simply the thousand names associated with Lord Vishnu.
Guest guest
Well..ahem..I did not mean to say exactly that !! What I meant was that it is not like any other sloka so that we need to translate it from sanskrit to english to know what it means. I have also written that each name has a particular vibration. Regards, Jagannath. _______________________ Dear Jagannath da, I am taken aback by your statement that Vishnu Sahasranama has no meaning !............................
