Guest guest
Dear Dr.Acharya, Sai Ram. I am aware of the controversies regarding the subject and would like to respond. What Dr. Shirish Bhate wrote and what the Indian Express wrote are rather different topics though they pertain to the same equipment, i.e. microwave oven. I am sure you are aware of magnetised water, Reikied water etc. Similarly microwaved water has some different properties vis-a-vis the plant growth. For all that we know, the bacteria present in the water (in small quantities) may be helping the plant to grow better! Ordinary boiling doesn't destroy the bacteria fully as you are no doubt aware. Microwave boiling of water may be more effective in killing bacteria. If you can organise a small research, I would suggest the following experiment: Take a small area of land and divide it into four quadrants. Separate the quadrants by some fairly deep water tight partitions. Alternatively, you can take 4 pots of same size and shape with similar earth in them. Put some flower or vegetable seeds in each of the pot and keep them in the same location so that they recieve the same light, air etc. To the first pot, add ordinary tap water, without boiling. To the second pot, add ordinary tap water, boiled normally. To the third pot, add ordinary tap water, boiled by microwave. To the fourth pot, add ordinary tap water, magnetised. I am sure you will find differences between the growth rates of the plants in all the pots. Allopathic analysis of nutrients through chemical analysis is not sufficient to bring out fine differences in food. For example, curd, butter milk and butter milk without the butter will have only marginal differences in calorific value as per allopathy, but will have significant differences in their effect on the different Tatvas of a person. I was told this by my ayurvedic doctor friends. I am not an ayurvedic doctor.
