Virus containing files sent by shirishbhate

Dear members

 

It was necessary to reject or delete several messages coming to our

list as a spam. here spam means messages unrelated to group theme,

advertisements for products, attemps to attract

traffic to websites, etc. Many spammers became frustated, even if

they had good hacking technology. THe group started getting mails

containing obscene video clips, photos, virus containing files etc,

often from well known frequently posting members mailids. Hackers and

spammers have even made some lists "unmoderated" so that moderators

never saw any "pending" messages!

 

Despite repeated attempts by them, ayurveda moderators have kept

a sharp vigil defying all attempts. As a punishment, spammers have

sent virus containing files to number of group members, and such

mails appeared coming from shirishbhate or

cybervaidya . Our group received many files from Jagannath

Chatterji, Dr Vidyasagar also.

 

Several international friends and where author is not

even a member received such mails. Spammers perhaps wish to terminate the moderators from the membership!

 

This message is posted so that members know the real situation and

they do not curse moderators for being an apparent "spammer".
