Can someone explain apart from taking cab, what other public transportations (bus or train) are available for going from ariport to San Ramon retreat area? It looks like the public transit from SJC takes a series of busses to the BART, altogether almost 3 hrs to get to Castro Valley BART, and costs $6.50. Not sure how much a taxi from there would be to the MAC. Although sometimes there are informal car pool rides and possibly schedule shuttles. Safe travels. For benefit of others, I am quoting the same. 1. Take Caltrain from SJC. Get down at Millbrae BART station. Take Millbrae BART train for Castro Valley BART train. Both the trains are one hour each travel. 2. Take a cab from SJC to Freemont BART station. From there take train to Castro Valley BART station.
