Guest guest
Dear Narasimhaye Ji, Thanks for the advice. Once I used mustard seed oil. The bead I usually wear close to the chest and I caught cold wearing the bead after immersing in mustard oil over night. With olive oil / Sesame oil it was fine. Thanks & Best Regards Sreejith []On Behalf Of narasimhaye Tuesday, November 21, 2006 12:50 PM RBSC : Oil for Oiling Beads Namaste Sreejith, some friends like using sesame oil, mustard seed oil and other oils. Others prefer jojoba, almond or olive oil mixed with sandalwood essential oil. Its mostly a matter of personal preference and whether a person likes the fragrance or texture of the oil he/she is using or experimenting with. Sesame oil is fine but would advice against using Ginger oil becos this irritates skin. Generally any cold-pressed oil is fine. That said, it would also be nice to hear the experiences of other friends. Guest guest
I have also use cold pressed olive oil mixed with a small amount of Tea Tree Oil. Tea tree oil is a natural antifungal which in humid climates can be a help in preserving the beads.
