Rudrakshas Water test

Not necessarily....I have seen some geniune rudraksha

float in water...

and atimes...fake vendors and add a small amount of

heay substance such as lead, in the interior of the

the bead, casuing them to sink..

 

geniune rudraksha can float on water...if it is

sufficiently light weight. In most cases, the geniune

beads that float on water are white in color (and

sometimes are "pre-mature") i hve yet to find a full

ripe fruit sink...

Sinking or floating depends on the amount of moisture in a bead, not necessarily whether it is real or not.

I have seen a number of genuine dried up rudrakshas float in water.

Although they might be considered somewhat inferior than those that sink.

Usually they have been eaten by insects from inside or have other defects.

I have a wonderful collection of authentic rudraksham. Some float, some

sink. Depends on moisture density.
