Guest guest
Dear Stacee, I am sorry to hear of your coworker's illness. I have worked with many women who have advanced ovarian cancer, and it really causes so much suffering, on so many levels. Once it metastizises to the peritonium and abdominal wall, it usually becomes very difficult to treat successfully, but that is not to say that it can not be done. All things are possible. However, true healing can not always be measured or defined by a complete removal of disease, or even an absence of symptoms, and this is especially true when a disease such as this is advanced. I try to be very mindful of the way in which I go about supporting someone who is going through any advanced disease. I have found that many people who have an advanced disease have within their consciousness a belief that they have failed, and they tend to judge the progression of their disease as a failure. The whole idea of "healing" becomes a measure of their own strength and abilities, or the lack thereof. If they measure their progress in terms of the physical, and the physical continues to decline, it can be very easy to "fail", and this becomes an viscious cycle. Yes, there are many people who have healed themselves of all kinds of illnesses, and that is certainly a worthy and necessary goal, but I think that true healing (the kind that lasts beyond the body) arises through cultivating a deep and lasting connection to Inner Divinity, or the True Self. It is through Grace alone that any effort at gaining lasting health is a successful effort, and sometimes, it is by grace that the body is shed. It is the journey that is important, not necessarily the outcome. Each step on the journey can carry us toward the richness of a divine life, or spiritual poverty. The process of healing will carry us toward a greater understanding of ourselves on every level, including but not limited to the physical. It can be a time of discovery; the awareness and exploration of the many levels of Self. It is vital to support people who are ill on this level. This is a longwinded way of trying to say that I have found that the most important way of approaching the whole idea of the healing process is to begin by assisting my clients in reconnecting with their faith and with their heart. It is normal to have a lot of grief and anger, etc.. that needs a safe and loving place for release. This alone is very powerful and very healing for the emotional body. Once that outer shell is softened, it is easier to connect with the inner self, and with the divine. The reconnection with the inner divine nature can and is a catalist which can in and of itself fuel the cells with Shakti, and initiate a powerful "reboot" of the entire energetic system, if that is what is in the highest and best interest of the soul. The other facets of a human life must also be addressed at the same time. Dietary changes according to the nature of the individual's body; pure alkalizing foods such as green vegetables and fresh fruit. Vibuti is extremely alkalizing and has a strong electromagnetic field...excellent for healing on every level, and costs almost nothing. Amma's blessed water is probobly the most healing componant anyone can take into their bodys on a daily basis...look at the research on water crystals and energy. Human touch is also profoundly needed while one is trying to heal. Massage and thereputic touch is tremendously helpful, as we need to be reminded that we are part of a greater whole, and that we are deeply connected to that whole. In addition, I would highly recommend a healing CD which can be listened to with headphones. The Relaxation Company put one out by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, which assists people who are ill by stimulating a Theta brain wave state, from which the brain can stimulate healing endorphins and deep relaxation...essential to healing. I use this in my healing practice with really good results. Mostly the healing Process consists of Love, Love and more Love. Love is the energy that created and sustains the universes. We must journey back to Love, and peel back all the layers of resistance; for it is the resistance that creates all ills. We are all on this grand healing journey; some of us are a little more conscious of it than others. We are all travelers on the Healing Highway; finding our way back to Love. I had a few books on health, nutrition and healing (Louise Hay, You can Heal or Life, The Path of Practice, and a few books on Whole foods, essiac tea.) It so happens that each of these authors has healed herself of cancer. I asked another co-worker, who is close to her, if she would be open to reading info from these books. I got the Yes, and will be sending her copied materials from each of these books. I want her to get the gist of what each author is sharing as well as each one's personal story of healing. I do not want to overwhelm her with too much information, but I thought that I would also put the word out there for other good ideas on healing with this. I invited her to come see Amma in San Ramon this month. She does know who Amma is, and at this time she is feeling too sick to make it the Ashram. I am going to explain to her that she can pray directly to Amma and that Amma will help her. Please let me know if you have any other ideas or sharings that I can pass along to my friend. Guest guest
The comprehensive scientific study on nutrition, The China Study, clearly documents that when people stop consuming animal protein, their cancer may be reversed. So eating fruits and veggies are the way to go. Info on the book at Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/China-Study-Comprehensive-Nutrition-Implications/dp/1932100660/sr=8-1/qid=1162991433/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-9618507-9763268?ie=UTF8&s=books Ammachi, "amarnath" <anatol_zinc wrote: > > Ammachi, sanatani urban <sanatani@> wrote: > > > > Dear Stacee, > > .... > > The other facets of a human life must also be addressed > > at the same time. Guest guest
Namah Shiva, Would you be interested in possibly writing a note to or speaking to my co-worker? Or even speaking with me in how to counsel properly under these circumstances. We are at the stage where there is an OK on her part that I send her information, via a friend. In the letter I wrote, I invite her to contact me personally about anything that was sent. I am not sure about her spiritual or religious understanding. If she contacts me personally, how can I reinforce what you are saying? My way of speaking is usually pretty upfront. I would explain in open terms that either way is OK, living or dying. Anyway...what you have shared is valuable, but this woman is in a crisis and may or may not have any real support. She may or may not decide or even understand her choices as far as connecting with God and her Self. She may or may not decide to seek any outside help or therapy for her illness other than what is offered by her health provider. These small steps of giving her Information are a beginning. Guest guest
In continuation of the spiritual aspects of your writing I'm referencing a great US psychiatrist who received the first of his three major spiritual initiations from Sri Matajhi Indira Devi in 1994:"...The following is the most powerful healing mantra I have ever encountered. This mantra has completely cured one person from a schizophrenic break who was on a locked ward. The patient in question was supposed to be "incurable". He has since graduated from Art School which he attended on a full scholarship. Om Apadamapa Hataram Dataram Sarva Sampadam Loka Bhi Ramam Sri Ramam Bhuyo Bhuyo Namamyaham The very rough translation is, 'Om, Oh most compassionate Rama please send your healing energy right here to the earth, to the earth. Another client was in constant pain for four years. She said the mantra daily for two weeks and she is now pain free. Another client had a chronic medical condition and needed to take a lot of medicine every day just to survive. After saying the above mantra for two weeks, he is off medicine entirely. May be there are members who have experienced this mantra? Using a mantra since about 7 months, I'm meanwhile totally convinced of mantras as it opened all doors for my spiritual development, specifically meditation, which was a big problem before. Guest guest
How many times a day should one chant this mantra. Thanks - wakkamann Ammachi Thursday, November 09, 2006 7:09 AM Re: The Layers of Healing In continuation of the spiritual aspects of your writing I'm referencing a great US psychiatrist who received the first of his three major spiritual initiations from Sri Matajhi Indira Devi in 1994:"...The following is the most powerful healing mantra I have ever encountered.
