11th November 2006

My dear friends and like minded persons

It is really a painful matter I could not remain in touch with you for the past one month due to continuous ill health and other health problems. Perhaps this is the only one of the biggest time gaps which we have in mutual exchange of opinions.

Any way, The Holy Pushkar to Bima River started on 28th of October and amidst all odds myself and my team left for Maktal in Mahaboobnagar District where the river enters Andhra Pradesh and later joins River Krishna. The origin of the Bima River is Bhimashankar near Pune on Sahyadri Hills. It is a jyothirlinga in the name of Bhimashanker and the river originates from the lotus feet of Lord. Our plan was to reach the place on 3rd and organize a medical camp and also annadaana camp as is being done at every Pushkar for the past twenty years or a little more. But Lord drove us to the Holy place on 5th November where we enjoyed a nice and most enjoyable time in the river and later in the evening hours left for Kuruvagadda – or Kuruvapuram as narrated in Guru Charitra of Lord Dattatreya. Lord Sri Paada Vallabha stayed in the island and performed his Tapus.

The evening time of 5th remains to be in our memories, for, that evening we sat in a dingi – a small local boat made up of bamboo and that was the sun set time Soon the sky was bright with the moon light of the full moon day and the waters of Krishna river started sparkling. The Divinity of nature and the beauty of water – none of us are able to put down on this small paper. We could understand why the great poets encircled through the SARAT CHANDRA – the full moon of the Season when sky is bright and atmosphere pleasant. We reached the island while we were in our divine dreams in the small dingi boat. Interesting it is, that day Sri Paada Vallabha Swamy was decorated as Lord

Dattatreya. The island provided accommodation to the temple staff; to a few cows; and many such the prominent being a very big banyan tree probably of 6000 years age. We offered prayers to the Lord and to the age old tree and offered rice and jaggery to the cows AND MOST RELUCTANTLY left the island once again in the dingi boat.

Richness is not in the money we earn – richness is in the aesthetic senses and in the perception. We were considered to be the richest – the richest, I confidently repeat. Any one who desires to have such experience may have to wait for another 12 years when again the pushkar to the Holy river Bima starts – and that should be during Sarat Ritu and the Dingi should be available and the temple to remain open – oh! so many ifs and buts.

It is HIS desire that this small group of HIS children to have a darshan in this fashion – in the most memorable way of a LIFE TIME. As usual we offered prayers on most of your behalf who have been continuously in touch with us. Therefore, a part of our rich earnings are already shared with you.

Yours affly HARA HARA MAHADEVA DR P V SESHA SAI ASWAMEDHAYAAJI

Thank you !

To my knowledge the island of KURAVAPUR is in the river Krishna on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

There is also small cave at Kuravpur in which Shreepada-Vallabha did his Tapas.

To be inside the cave was a remarkable experience. One feels his spiritual presence.

There is also a SHILA on which Shree-Pada-Vallabha did his SooryaNamaskaras.

The boats in which we crossed the river from the A.P. side are really very large bamboo baskets covered with waterproof sheets.
