Guest guest
DANGER: Cabachon Cut gems are 99% junk quality. The only time you will find gem (jyotish) quality stones cut as cabs is by client request. Otherwise all cabs are junk. There is nothing wrong with cabachon cutting, but 99% of the time it is only used on low quality stones. Some gems are always cut as Cabs, such as moonstone and cat's eye, because it gives the desired light effect. But other gems, like rubes and emeralds, are only cut as cabs when they are low quality. BEWARE!!!
