Guest guest
Shobaji, If I may stick in my nose into this thread ...! All astrologers really appreciate when a querrant responds on receiving a reading, particularly a free reading. Most of us regular people and it feels good when we get feedback. It fine-tunes our techniques and also as a human being it feels good to be appreciated. Many if not most posters forget that simple courtesy. It is okay if someone wishes to get a second opinion or more questions from the same jyotishi. In such cases, the questions should be asked naming the jyotishi who gave the first reading, directly. And I mean public mail and not private email. Lot of people do not appreciate getting requests privately (mine generally get deleted for a variety of reasons, but this post is not about me!). Sometimes one may get a reading but may want input from others too. This can be tactfully done, by first thanking the first astrologer and then placing the next questions for general response. Often you will find that out of collegial courtesy, when a jyotishi responds on a forum, other jyotishis tend not to jump in with alternative readings or criticisms of the first jyotishi or their reading. I have observed this almost always on this forum and that shows good etiquette or its net-version: netiquette! Other forums may be different but it is nice to see fierce battles between people and flame wars but generally speaking no barbs flung at public readings and interpretations therein. This is classy, I would say and something we all should preserve. When we discuss jyotish, generally, it is an intellectual, academic exercise and everything goes. But a reading, even when done in public and not comprehensively is almost sacred, something wholistic that can only be observed, admired and sometimes to be learned from. It is like a pooja. When we go to participate in a pooja, we do not criticise the idol or how it was made or the pronounciation of the priest or whether all the accouterments were there or something missing. Some probably indulge in such practice but they might as well have gone to a movie! RR , Shob <sho56642 wrote: > > Dear Prashantji, > > Thanks for the advice . My dad is alone in India after my mum passed away 3 yrs back. We 3 daughters are abroad. He was helped to take care by my dad's brother's family who stays close by. As my dad is a diabetic and had a stroke once,He cannot walk all that safe. Still he goes daily to near by temple and does his primary needs well. Before 2 months my sister was on vacation and people around and my uncles kids they were complaining bad about our dad saying that some lady comes to our house etc and she found lot of money drawn from the bank too. When she ask dad he dont remember much too as he was short memorised after his stroke. I dont know what going on.Some how my sister consolidated things when she was there and asked dad not to allow anyone to our house. But again now when she calls our uncles kids to know about dad..they start complaining about dad saying he is talking to each and everyone who goes on road unnecessarily etc. Whats goin on. > I know my dad;s DOB but not time.
