Guest guest
I am amused to read about "Guru Bashing" It is as if it was done with malice in heart. I am sorry stand taken by some learned members in this regard. All planets do good and bad. It is just that Guru is a large planet, his bad is more in quantity and quality than other planets. I am going to receive velvet gloved fists for this but can't help it. Good to know that Jupiter bashing has been creative_past_time earlier in the group !! Well, be assured, I also like brevity of expression & thoughts, want to see any thread to reach a conclusion in 3 or 4 maximum exchanges !! else, it is a endless debate or debate with a wrong person or wrong subject...etc... thanks for educating me on previously concluded subjects or issues. with regards, sreeram srinivas
Guest guest
For the record, Tatvamasi ji -- I have never seen you bash any guru, terrestrial or extraterrestrial (the big guy in the sky -- Brihaspati)! Or anything that it truly represents! One thing that some individuals get confused about is when they attribute arrogance and hypocricy with Guru/Jupiter/Brihaspati! These are the very thing that represent the negative jupiter energy/attributes! Negative means Jupiter is not 'there' or if it is, it is too distracted. Even a lion can get distracted if a bunch of hyenas attack it at the same time. I apologize for using a sub-primate analogy! I hope the meaning is not lost on those who are on the good side of Brihaspati! May HIS light shine on all of us! Along with that of Sun!! Guest guest
Dear RR ji, Your's Truely was responsible for posting a series of articles/postings named " Bhava Nasha Karo Jeeva, Bhava Vriddhi Karau Sani" and "Is Guru Benign?" etc. I had received bricks and mortars from people in another group. I was reminded of that when I read thie heading of the subject in question. Coming to your question of naming the source of adage " Bhava Nasha Karau Jeeva....etc". I was taught by my late Grand father, a profusely honoured Astrologer . He must have read it in some manuscrips which are still there in our viallge in India. Or some books of yore. Guest guest
Actually if I recall correctly, in one of the recent issues of Astrological Magazine I read something about that and very similar. I should have indexed it. I also review articles from old issues, the few that I could bring with me so it could be one of those that had the article. If I run into it again, I will post it. I personally do not think we should be partial to any planet, be it guru or shani. Unless we astrologers become neutral students and observers, we would tend to get biased towards one or the other planet and that bias will surely trip us during our readings. I have observed that in individuals in the past. Another bias is about one's own chart. People who spend too much time with their own chart tend to overemphasize the yogas and rules that apply to their charts, since they overanalyze and spend so much time with those. Thanks RR , Tatvamasi <om_tatsat_om wrote: > > Dear RR ji, > Your's Truely was responsible for posting a series of articles/postings named " Bhava Nasha Karo Jeeva, Bhava Vriddhi Karau Sani" and "Is Guru Benign?" etc. Guest guest
I had to write on this subject because, some/most people thought and beieved that Guru can never be bad in affecting people. And sani is always bad etc. Tatvam-Asi Rohiniranjan <jyotish_vani (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: Actually if I recall correctly, in one of the recent issues of Astrological Magazine I read something about that and very similar. Guest guest
Dear Members, Planets per se are not good or bad, but they're endowed with authorisation to oversee the dispensation (all with neutra stance) of the natives karma which is in real terms good or bad as per our respective perceptions. In this disposition of roles(for grahas) some are endowed with bringing suffering and some happiness to the native depending upon his karma phala. The referrence of classics of subha and asubha should be read in this context but not the otherway. For eg in Public administration there are political administartors/scientific administrators/welfare administrators/justice administrators etc all having some intended role for the good of society;but can we singleout and say that justice administration functonaries(lawyers/police) are bad as they are endowed with authority to punish some? This is what I've understood from our elders by keenly observing their way of life and teaching us (through respective interpretation styles -by words and deeds);ordainment by sastraas for prayers (with due devotion and not just for fear)to all grahas is the testimony for such a thinking.
