Guest guest
Hello to all....My name is Christine, I am 46 years old, my hubby Steve is 54 and have we have been TTC for 6 years. (I beg you all, not to make me have to defend my wanting a child at this age..please??)We have no insurance so 95% of all infertility tests and/or treatments are out of the question. My husband had his SA done a few years ago, and was "normal" although somewhat on the low end. My tests were also normal, for my age. I have a few factors that I, personally, believe to be contributing factors in my infertility. 1..I am very over weight. 306 (SHHHHHHH) 2..Had chickenpox...(down there)possible scaring? 3..Was on deppo shots for aprox. 7 years..off for 10 now... 4..Use of medication for depression... I have read a few of the posts and would really like more detailed information on the herbal treatments for infertility, obesity and depression. As i really do think that the latter 2 are possible causes of infertility. My cycle lasts 26-28 days, I have EWCM,(egg white cervical mucus)around CD 10, and have not tracked my temps for several months, but when i was...temp rise did not accur until CD 15- 18. Hope this is not to in depth, taboo or weird for this group. I am a memeber of fertility friend where all this info is normal on the boards. If anyone has any clues...suggestions or info on the herbal/spice treatments(the cinnamon/honey) please let me know??? Thanks sooo very much! Baby Dust to all who need it!!! Guest guest
Christine, Yoga often can help women conceive. I know of people (and some personally ) who have conceived by doing yoga. There are a lot of postures and techniques that can help with this. Also, yoga can help regulate the glands and the weight. Excess weight can put extra stress on the body and certain organs in particular such as the ovary area. Guest guest
Hi Christine, This author appreciates the motherhood urge at 46! It is natural; Lord Brahma, the creator, when distributed love and affection, all men were busy fighting, gambling, etc and women quickly seized the gift. Now it is guessed that your deppo shots and depression pills have put you into PCOS class, The author has a file circulated only for healthcare professionals which mentions these possibilities. But PCOS means difficulties ttc, not impossibility. >From ayurveda, as a remote information, you may check the file Honey.pps stored in file section, folder "Articles", subfolder "Dr.BhateFiles" Use of honey with cinnamon is mentioned therin as a fertility booster. a tsp of fenugreek seeds soaked overnight and taking soaked water empty stomach in morning also is a help to reduce insulin resistance. In India, some inexpensive medicines made from cow urine to balance hormones and also reduce insulin resistance are avaialbe, but not exported. Weight loss using exercises, food etc is impossible until liver is converted from fat generator to fat burner. Some hormone precursor steroids liver makes only after this change. This requires liver detoxification. Ayurveda also offers certain panchkarma procedures to rejuvinate ovaries, testes, and repro system total, but these need to be carried out under supervision. Home liver detox is described in a file in file section in same subfoldre. Weight loss is experienced by just walking after liver cleanses. YOu may see a file walking.pps in files section in the subfolder mentioned earlier. Some herbs to boost sperms, motility are already mentioned in many posts in archives, which you may search using search facilities. And some special formulations of ayurveda to balance hormones are also mentioned in some posts, again search using word "conception". >From what you mention, your cyles may be regular; but may not be ovulatory, a conclusion drawn from weight gain. But only assessment of your pulse will tell whether the obesity is Vatic. presence of other PCOS symptoms would have given complete picture. Author assumes there are none. If you can get some liver cleanses done by a neighbourhood naturopath follow it up with walking exercise, and you have some ayurveda vaidya in neighbourhood, you may take some "fertility" booster formulations under supervision. winter is just round the corner and followed by "fertile" season termed "Vasnata" in India. Nature helps all during this season. Do not forget to ask husband to take similar booster formulations. This author does not support the view that fertility should be rated zero after age 40. Every individual is unique. Experienced vaidya can make a correct assessment of your chances. Hormone numbers do not tell full story, as per one western MD, Dr Miachel Birnbaum. When a patient is remote, a number of hurdles come in fertility treatments. To give an instance, a case undertaken by author will be summarised. A lady aged 40, 240 lbs. and staying at an overnight journey distance. started on hormone balanceing medicines after personal consultation. periods became regular after 3 months. ovulation also started after 5th month. liver cleanse also done. but excess bleeding remained a problem which would take a little longer. HOrmonal balance was not yet perfect. To control it, she parallely consulted an allopath, and told the history. He ruled out the chances of conception totally and was very confident that even b/c pills may not help, only hysterectomy was the option. The lady went into depression, became hysterical, so referred to a psychiatrist. was immediately put on full course of anti-depressants and lost weight was regained in one month itself. Now she has lost all the hopes, since psychiatrist does not allow her to switch back to ayurveda. she has become almost slave to pill. The case is not mentioned to discourage you, but whatever you do, do it under supervision of a neighbourhood vaidya. ayurveda, "Christine" <cassidyhopper wrote: > > Hello to all....My name is Christine, I am 46 years old, my hubby > Steve is 54 and have we have been TTC for 6 years. Guest guest
Christine, I would recommend a complete panchakarma treatment to detox and rejuvenate for you and your husband. You can contact my mother at uxma . She gives this treatment in Cancun. I would recommend minimum of 5 days. A couple who could not conceive came to my mom for treatment and within 6 months, they conceived and just had their 2nd child. I also highly recommend to take some yoga. Where do you live?
