The less flippant answer would be: it depends. Gemstones -- particularly as are generally worn these days (someone prescribes on internet and tells you a day on which to wear -- you shop around get a good price, buy it wear it, then come back to complain that nothing different happened....) I think wearing a gemstone for astrological purposes is a bit more complex and involved process than that. If it is very clean, bringht, yellow color sapphire with very small inclusions and Jupiter is good in your chart, it will give you good results. However, if jupiter is ruling evil houses in your chart, it will give negative effects. This is too generalized question. Nothing can be said without judging the horoscope. and for any gemstone clarity, color, less inclusions matter for good results. I have been wearing 6.59 carat pukhraj embedded in an OM pendant in my neck since 6 months, but since then my life has changed but negatively..lost job, close frnds, an am single. Got a job almost after 3 months. But what has gone wrong...The reason I started wearing pukhraj was for marriage, but no progress on that front either.
