another way to check if u have a dormant virus/worm around but undetected by known anti-virus, malware, spyware busters

 

DO THE FOLLOWING STEP BY STEP

 

from start button

Enter and press [type] RUN

then enter CMD

then give netstat -n

[that is netstat a space and -n]

 

 

if u find a report like this

but in the last field if instead of Establised u find CLOSE_WAIT or TIME_WAIT OR SYN_WAIT

these are unknown ones even to ur software and can harm ur PC either hard ware or software or both.

 

u can go to ur browser and in

TOOLS MENU look for Internet options

go to Security Tab

then select RESTRICTED SITES

add the IP address of tHe FOREIGN ADDRESS with close_wait, time_wait etc. keep doing this once in a week

but see it once in a day at least protect urself and ur friends by a safe surfing habit
