Guest guest
Dear all, I have bought an astrological magazine Express Star Teller (Nov. issue) indicating that Rahu will move from Pices to Aquarius on November 9. Checking with the downloaded Jagannatha Hora Vedic Astrology Software Version 7.02, I found that Rahu already in Aquarius on 12/10/06.Can anyone please comment. Regards. Vincent. Guest guest
Dear Vincent , This is the difference between the mean Rahu and the true Rahu . Shri Jagannath Hora takes mean nodes while many panchangs take the true Rahu. The mean position has already moved while the true position is yet to move . Astrologers stand by either Rahus , it is a contentious issue similar to the lines of Ayanamsha . The scriptures are said to be in favour of mean Rahu quoting the definition condition that the nodes are always moving in retrograde motion . The true nodes are sometimes moving direct too. This is due to the wobble of the earth and the moon orbits . You may want to experiment with both nodes before sticking with either of them . Guest guest
Dear Anand, I don't write very often and prefer to avoid all controversies. But I feel like writing after reading this email. I want to give feedback of changes that has happened to me. My life was on hold for quite some time but right from the day Rahu moved from Pisces to Aquarius on October 13 (per Jhora, lahiri ayanamsa, mean Rahu), I have started getting good results. I made money in speculation right on Oct 13 unexpectedly. I got positive results from activities that I had started 2 yrs ago. Things have started moving in good direction. Of course not every one will have good effects due to Rahu's move to Aquarius. I just happen to be the lucky one. My birthdata: Nov 18, 1944, 20:46:55, 70E27, 21N44 Regards, Pratap Anand <anand.ghurye > wrote: Dear Vincent , This is the difference between the mean Rahu and the true Rahu . Guest guest
Dear Friends , Vadic Astrology uses Mean Rahu since ancient times , thus we have a vast feed back on mean nodes. As now it is possible to calculate True nodes also , all of us has to learn their use also. I feel there is no controversy , only we have do some research on True nodes . They are there and we may ignore them on our own peril. Ayanamsa problem is on other level : 1 V.E. Point - An effort is made by modern Astronomers to define and indicate its location on ecliptic. There findings are accepted by astrologers all over the world. It is claimed that the difference will not be more than 0.04 sec. between catalogue and observed value. 2 Vedic ASTROLOGY - We use sidereal Zodiac, as such it becomes our responsibility to define and fix the initial point of our zodiac on the ecliptic. 3. Once these two points are known , angular arc between these points is called as Ayanamsa value. What most of the Indian Astrologers are saying that such and such value is giving us better results ,and then the value of ayanamsa should be fixed accordingly. This is wrong way to find a solution of this question and thus bringing Indian astrology to disrepute. It is like pitting the cart before the horse. 4. SINCE VEDIC DAYS, STAR CITRA(SPICA-16) WAS CONSIDERED AS REFERENCE POINT. THE INITIAL POINT OF SIDEREAL ZODIAC WILL BE EXACTLY OPPOSITE TO THIS STAR. 5.Thus Ayanamsa value can be defined as under : AYANAMSA = TROPICAL LONGITUDE OF STAR CITRA(SPICA-16) - 180 degrees 6. Tropical longitude of star citra can easily be ascertained from Catalogue 'F T-5'. Guest guest
Hi all, I use Shri Jagannath Hora Ver 5 and using that Rahu is still in Pisces. If ver 7.02 puts Rahu in Aquarius about a month ahead, does it not pose a problem when casting a chart for those born during this period. Especially when we are aware of Rahu influence on an individuals chart. Besides this major change in Rahu's transist anyone aware of any other major changes from ver 5 that's implemented in ver 7.02. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Nair, The ingress of nodes in next sign will depend on following factors, 1. True or mean nodes 2. Which Ayanamsa you wish to adopt Depending upon your requirement Js- Hora 7.02 will indicate exact time and date of ingress of nodes in next sign. Guest guest
Thank you Mr. Goel. I downloaded 7.02 and experimented with the calculation options as suggested. It certainly offers options including that for true / mean nodes. Will try to explore the other options the software offers. Best regards B Nair vedic astrology, Gopal Goel <gkgoel1937 wrote: > > Dear Mr. Nair, > The ingress of nodes in next sign will depend on following factors, > 1. True or mean nodes > 2.
