Guest guest
Hermes -- as Greeks called mercury, our dear Budha griha or graha or gruha (if you are a beloved maharashtrian! All aaplaa manus, absolutely!!) -- has been carrying a lot of load and even blame for many of human indiscretions and brattish behaviours! This is brought to the fore by some recent posts but observed by me for a couple of decades for sure (compuserve days in 90s). Each time a computer or network breaks down, western astrologers that I othewise admire have immediately blamed mercury for being retrograde. If your IT staff is lazy, inept and so on -- blame it on the little guy who runs around the sun like an anxious child eager to please the Dad and pretty much everyone else! Before I get my knuckles wrapped, I must point out that this forum has for quite some time been the stage of brawls and indiscretions. People have come in and without demonstrable provocation have called others names and displayed their immaturities (blamed on this planet or that) and have at times gone scot-free as the expression goes, or at least long enough before the tension becomes noticeable! Has in all of these recent past instances of skid-row behaviour by "jyotishis" or jyotish lovers -- mercury been retrograde? I do not know, I do not even have the energy to go back and rake up the evidence to examine scientifically or at least rationally/critically if during all those archieved instances mercury had been retrograde? The patron planet of communication, of intellect, of information, of data-gathering and data-organization, and the universal icon of medicos (cauduceaus) -- sadly has been the most battered planet in terms of gathering blame by western/tropical as well as sidereal/jyotishi astrologers. I am hoping that my desperate plea would bring some jyotishi- scientist up to the task of actually going through the archives on this forum of past conflicts and flame-wars and demonstrate to us that indeed it was mercury retrograde that was responsible and not just a bunch of humans at fault! Guest guest
And then all of us need rationalisation. Different people different strokes. While a doctor may use a different way of justification for an astrologer, obviously, Mercury becomes an easyway out, it helps by short term frequent retrogressions! rishi --- Rohiniranjan <jyotish_vani (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: > Hermes -- as Greeks called mercury, our dear Budha > griha or graha or > gruha (if you are a beloved maharashtrian! Guest guest
BUT what if the doctor is also an astrologer? Hypothetical but not impossible (Dr. Charak from Delhi for instance is a well-known jyotishi/published writer from KN Rao's school and I have heard that Dr. Deepak Chopra is also into astrology -- I have seen his horoscope listed amongst astrologers in a database and there is Dr. Margaret Millard who has written a beautiful book on medical cases -- western astrological perspective but data that jyotishis can benefit from!). The more one looks, the more one finds! My newly proposed signature for all jyotishi-explorers (excluding those who have already arrived and resting): <Never close your eyes because then you risk closing your mind!> Ranjanda , rishi shukla <rishi_2000in wrote: > > And then all of us need rationalisation.
