Guest guest
Om Amriteswari Namah Ammachi, please guide and bless us as we open our hearts to the teaching of the Sri Guru Gita. Divine Mother, stand with us, as we grow in our Selves and as we continue to open our hearts and our minds to your Love and Light. Amma, show us how to share your inspiration and your Love for us with the World. We dedicate our study today to Peace on this Earth, and to healing the hearts of humankind. Guru Gita Study Session 33 Verse 159. The Lord Said: Wherever the supremely pure and taintless Guru stays, in natural course that region or abode comes to be inhabited by hosts of gods. Verse 160. Recite the Guru Gita whatever you may be doing: whether seated in a posture, or lying, moving around or standing, riding a horse or an elephant, asleep or awake. Verse 161. One who recites the Guru Gita is holy and wise, and merely by looking at him, you will not be born again. Verse 162. Just as water merges in the ocean, milk in milk, butter in butter, the space inside a broken pot in the space outside, likewise, the individual soul merges in the Universal Being. Verse 163. In the same way, the wise person’s individuality is merged in God. She continuously revels in the Self, day and night, roaming about in solitary places. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Om Lokah samastah sukino bhavantu Lokah samastah sukino bhavantu Lokah samastah sukino bhavantu Om santih, santih, santih Om sri gurubhyo namah hari om ~Om, may all beings in all the worlds be happy. Guest guest
Reading this reminded me of visiting a home today, where Amma scattered all the petals saved from a Devi Bhava years ago. Afterwards, I drove down the coast to Big Sur & chanted. The energy felt so powerful while chanting Amma's names, that I thought of gods being there, & felt afraid of the powerful sensations. It's my understanding that the Big Sur coast is a power spot, whatever that means. Maybe the way the energies are there, help to make us more direct conduits. Regarding fear, I'm also afraid of heights. Initially, I turned around at one point to drive home due to my fear. Then I turned around, sang bhajans, prayed for Amma & faced the fear. It was worth it! While driving around the same turns close to drop offs into the Pacific on the return trip, the fear was almost gone. I saw the fear of heights as akin to my fear of spiritual unknowns. They're just that, & not so scarey after facing them.
