Guest guest
Dear Mrs Wendy, On second thought, doesn't House Cusps or Mid Cusps or Mid Points mean Bhava Madhya ? Dr B V Raman, in his book 'A Cateshism of Astrology', on chapter about Vocation, in reply to a student's query about 'How to ascertain place or direction of one's livelihood?' replies that the "the sign that is found on the cusp of the 10th bhava determines the place and direction that is most suitable". There are some astrologers that give much importance to the lords of the Naksahtra where the Mid Cusp or Mid Point of the four kendras fall. These nakshatra lords are called as Sukhdipati(4th house). Kalatradhipati(7thn House) and Karmadhipati(10th House). These planets are treated as the key planets responsible to give sukham etc. I am not sure whether this is pure Indian Vedic Astrology or some technquies have been borrowed from other traditions. Guest guest
Dear Rajat, Ahh yes, I see! You're referring to the bhava chart (chalit chakra) and I'm referring to the Janma Kundali (Rasi chart). Yes Rajat, the bhava chart is used extensively (along with the Rasi chart). As I understand Rasi is (either) read in conjunction with bhava chart or in conjunction with the divisional charts...one does not use bhava and divisionals in conjunction. Guest guest
Sorry to come in, just contributing my inputs. House Cusps in Sayana are Midpoints of Nirayana or Bhava Madhya. Many people are not aware that Shri,BV Raman has used Nakshatras extensively (in delineation of horoscope sensitive matters). In Placcidus system the Midcusp of nirayana is taken as beginning point and the Nakshatra and sublord of same decides the vocation- career one will follow, same with 7th Cusp which will decide married life and the spouse one may get,and so forth for other cusps, all this is used by practitioners of KP System. Everything ultimately comes from the Creator,so all in astrology comes from Vedic. Nakshatra was used by ancient people of Vedic times much before the divisions of 12 signs was made in the Zodiac. The Milk is same. Someone churns the cream from time to time, and it comes to be known as different system, though its not so. But Yes House division Placidus is followed by Western Savants, which is again followed here in India by KP astrologers. Maybe likened to a Indian photographer going to West and coming back to India more refined in his technique. Finally nothing matters , a right prediction matters thats all. regards, Bhaskar. jyotish-vidya, "vedvigyan" <bentleyclothing wrote: > > Dear Mrs Wendy, > > On second thought, doesn't House Cusps or Mid Cusps or Mid Points mean > Bhava Madhya ? > > Dr B V Raman, in his book 'A Cateshism of Astrology', on chapter about > Vocation, in reply to a student's query about 'How to ascertain place > or direction of one's livelihood?' replies that the "the sign that is > found on the cusp of the 10th bhava determines the place and direction > that is most suitable". > > There are some astrologers that give much importance to the lords of > the Naksahtra where the Mid Cusp or Mid Point of the four kendras > fall. These nakshatra lords are called as Sukhdipati(4th house). > Kalatradhipati(7thn House) and Karmadhipati(10th House). These planets > are treated as the key planets responsible to give sukham etc. > > I am not sure whether this is pure Indian Vedic Astrology or some > technquies have been borrowed from other traditions. > > Best regards, > > Rajat > > > > > jyotish-vidya, "Wendy Vasicek" <jyotish@> wrote: > > > > Dear Rajat, > > > > House cusps are used in KP and Western astrology only. > > > > Best Wishes, > > Mrs. Wendy > > http://JyotishVidya.com > > jyotish-vidya > > ___ > > > > > > - > > "vedvigyan" <bentleyclothing@> > > <jyotish-vidya> > > Saturday, October 28, 2006 8:06 PM > > Finding House Cusps and their Importance ? > > > > > > > > Dear Members, > > > > Which house System should be used to find the House Cusps ? > > > > What role does House Cusp lords play ? > > > > Thanks, > > > > Rajat > > >
Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar, I'd already sent off a response to Rajat before yours came through to my mailbox...unfortunately my mails seem to be having a bit of a delay somewhere which makes holding a conversation a little difficult. I won't go over what I just wrote (it should turn up soon) but I will just emphasise (again) the need to differentiate between the Rasi and Bhava charts...
