Guest guest
I recently got my Pap exam back as abnormal for the second year in a row and next week I am going in for a colposcopy and biopsy. This is a rather scary thing, even though I have heard it's not too uncommon. I would appreciate any prayers, healing energy and thoughts sent my way in the next week in hopes that this turns out to be nothing, or that if it IS something more significant than perhaps a speedy recovery and the best outcome. I may keep the group updated on this, but I felt I had to post something. Jai ma! -Katie
Guest guest
Hi Katie, Try not to let fear in, as it goes against the flow of healing energy that is always available, especially if you are doing spiritual practices. Frequently these things come and go over time, and luckily we have advanced screening now for things like cervical cancer, and it can be caught at a very early stage, with minimally invasive methods of tx. Although it is wonderful and necessary to have support while going through these issues, remember also that you have an immense wellspring of healing energy within your own being...your True Self. Work with that energy every day, and fill your cells with that powerful light from which True Healing emminates. If you have had the I Am training, it can really help you now. Use it as often as possible. And know that you are Deeply Loved. It is your true nature. I will put you on my personal healing list, and I would also like to put you on the Ammachi Weekly Prayer list, if you would like me to. Please let me know if there is anything else i can do to support you, Dear Sister. Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya Katie, When I was younger, I also had an abnormal papa result, which was very scarey. I did some reading back then, which indicated that taking B12, folic acid, or something like that, was good for preventing cervical cancer. Anyway, after that my next pap was normal. If you e-mail the Lay at Amma's Feet segment of Amritapuri's e-sevices, Amma's made a resolve about prayers sent there being answered. This has given me a lot of peace, as well as results. it may also help you, as well. Please keep us posted about your well being. Guest guest
One of the best ways that I have found to keep fear away is talking to my mom, especially since I still live at home. As soon as I got the results, I called her at work to tell her and just her calm tone and her telling me that it is not something to be afraid of calmed me down rather quickly and her words were almost a mantra for an hour or so until every part of me accepted what was happening. And I'm not as good at remembering that my greatest support system is within, particularly since I've never taking IAM and don't have it available to me where I live (as far as I am aware). I would appreciate being put on the prayer list though, and I used Sweta's suggestion to email to Mother on the eservices thing and it felt incredible when I did. Everything that has been stressing me lately was pushed into that one email and sent to her, and right now, even for tonight, I'm at peace. Something I'm very thankful for, given how hectic my life seems to be at the moment. Jai ma! -Katie
