Guest guest
Hello everyone onlist, This is TOTALLY off topic, but important and quick. Cerebral Infarction or Stroke is a major cause of disability and the 3rd most common cause of death after heart disease and cancer. When it happens, it often looks like one tripped over something or just got a little dizzy. But treatment within the first 3 HOURS of an attack is crucial. The affects can be minimized or removed completely if treated within that time. There are 3 simple tasks you as an average person can request from the possible victim to be sure if they need emergency treatment: 1. Ask the person to smile. 2. Ask the person to raise both their arms above their head. 3. Ask the person to speak a simple sentence like, "today is a sunny day". If they have difficulty with any ONE of these, call emergency services immediately and describe the symptoms. Let's say that your friend, neighbor or total stranger really did just trip. You didn't ask them to do anything embarrassing or silly. You're just concerned and you could save their life or save them from a life long disability. Okay. Off topic interuption is now over. Your computer screen shall return to it's normal programming! :-)
