Guest guest
Dear Manju, As I'm sure you know, KP astrology employs the Placidus house system to construct the horoscope. This system, taken from the Western (tropical) system of house division, deviates from the traditional (Vedic) method of 'whole sign, whole bhava'. The sages tell us that, at the moment of birth, the navagrahas manifest as a new entity...here we see the immortality of the gods in action, manifesting again and again each time an entity is born! likewise, we're told, the signs of the zodiac manifest, at the moment of birth, as the twelve bhavas. This means explicitly that the WHOLE sign has MANIFESTED as a WHOLE bhava...this is an act of creation, the CREATION of JANMA KUNDALI. Because, in KP, one sign can encompass two houses, it no longer represents the Kundali (in the true sense) and should rightly be looked upon as just another bhava chart--compared more to the Sripati bhava chart than to the Rasi chart. It (should) therefore be understood that Jyotish-Vidya does not support these systems that deviate from the traditional Janma Kundali. The sub lords however, are worth consideration, and you will find the tables for calculating them on this site: http://www.jupitersweb.com/KP%20Star%20and%20Sub%20lord%20Table.htm Most softwares calculate these automatically...
