Jaya Guru Datta As ordained by Datta Himself, Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji has decided to construct a Temple on the banks of River Godavari and named it Sri Datta Mukti Kshetram. Construction is in progress. Important features of this Kshetram: · A Datta Temple with a 27ft. Gopuram, · Marakata Guru Paduka Mandapam · Prayer Hall (About 6,000 sft) · Maha Ganapati Yagashala · 2 rooms for visitors (about 200 sft each) · Guru Nilayam on the first floor. Proposed Activities: a.. Place for Annadanam b.. Venue for doing all sort of Yagas (such as Rudra/ Chandi/ Sudarshana and other Srouta yagas.) c.. Place for who would like to do Teertha Sraaddham (on the banks of River Godavari, which is highly meritorious service to ancestors and deceased parents d.. Dattatreya Puja for departed souls e.. Training centre for Archakas and Purohit; f.. Centre to teach people who are interested to learn Puja and other allied subject Importance: Mythology says - Penance on the banks of Narmada; Bath in Ganga and Daanam and Daanam at Sindhu river are extolled as highly meritorious. Banks of River Goutami are endowed with all the three virtues. This place is allotted by the Government to various spiritual organisations to catapult the status to a sacred hub of Dharma. Nearby bathing Ghat is neatly maintained for the convenience of pilgrims. Schedule: It is proposed to complete the temple construction by January 15th, so that this temple is inaugurated in Magha Masam by His Holiness Sri Swamiji. Appeal: We appeal all the the devotees to partake in the holy Siladaana Seva (donating stones/ bricks for the edifice) and be amply blessed by Sadguru Deva. As this is named Mukti Kshetram, it is highly valuable to donate in the names of your parents and include your names.
