Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta I wanted to share with all Datta devotees the experiences with the Jeevan Leela/Datta Leela boardgame. Sri Swamiji personally had these games distributed to Seva Kartas during the Navaratri celebrations in Mysore this year. Sri Guru Datta Hira Dear Sankaran, Jaya Guru Datta! What an amazing experience! I have had many others also telling me that the game speaks to them. When they play it, it is a very personal dialog they have with Sri Swamiji. Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us. Sri Guru Datta Hira Dear Aunty, Jai Guru Datta. I wanted to share an experience I had last weekend while playing the game at the kid's carnival at Sri Meenakshi temple. I played the game with lot of different kids and it was a real good experience. For all the kids it took a while to finish the game. But the one child who was a physically challenged child was able to finish the game in just 4 or 5 throws of the dice, I was really amazed, and I could see Sri Swamiji helping that child to finish it instead of challenging him. There is truly something special in the game and I believe Sri Swamiji really speaks through the game when needed. Sri Guru Datta. Regards, Sankaran DYCHouston@gro ups.com [DYCHouston@gro ups.com] On Behalf Of Hira Duvvuri Tuesday, October 17, 2006 4:28 AM Houston Datta Family [DYCHouston] Jeevan Leela boardgames Jaya Guru Datta Dear Houston Datta family, A Big Thank You to all of you for your help and support with the booth taken at Sri Meenakshi Temple's Diwali Bazaar this past Saturday. It was quite a success. I stopped over on my way back from India to participate in it. It was good to see you all. I just returned to Baton Rouge after a wonderful stay at the Mysore ashram for Navaratri. I hope you all had a great festival season also. I am writing to request each of you to sponsor several sets of the new Jeevan Leela boardgame (modified for general public as per Sri Swamiji's directive, and blessed by Him during Navaratri at Mysore), so that they can be sold or given as a gift to friends and family members during the coming year. The game is educational and fun besides giving a fine introduction about Sri Swamiji, the Mysore ashram and Sri Swamiji's mission. It is suitable for all age groups, with hundreds of new Q & A's added, tailored towards all. Already a couple of Houston Datta family members have purchased several sets each. My hearty Thank You to them for their initiative and support. I hope the rest of you take their example and do your share of Sadguru seva. You pay only the cost price of $15/each. These are wholly made in USA and the quality is excellent. This snakes and ladders game was originally released by Sri Swamiji in Mysore during this year's Birthday celebrations (the Indian product, a gift partially supported by the Houston group), then in Trinidad during Guru Purnima this year with the name Datta Leela (the American version). Now it has the general name Jeevan Leela in the U.S., and has more general photographs, messages, and general questions added to it. It teaches the essence of Datta philosophy, a lot of positive values, and basic information about Sri Swamiji, and our culture. Sri Swamiji likes this game immensely and would like it to be actively promoted. It is Sri Swamiji's expressed wish that all devotees should play and benefit from this game, and that non-devotees of Sri Swamiji also, should have this game and enjoy it. That was the reason for revising it. I request you to please also speak with interested groups at other locations. For those interested, I will arrange to ship the charts and the other components directly under the same terms. I hope you can please help me in this. With Diwali, and the Holiday season just ahead, this is a good time to act on this. Also with Sri Swamiji's planned visit this coming year to the US, this will be a good way to let new people know about Him. I hope I can count on every one of you to support me in this worthy effort. Thank you. Waiting to hear from you soon - Wish you all a very Happy Deepavali! affectionately, Hira Sri Guru Datta Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail.
