Joining this group was not quite whimsical... but close. I've been

practicing Western mysteries and magic for several years, usually

focusing on Osiris, Horus and other death/rebirth dieties... I was

drawn to a pendant the other day with an image of Shiva upon it, with

a brief description of him as the destroyer of evil and enlightener of

souls... I'm just trying to learn more.

Hi Mike,

 

I would recommend checking out www.sivababa.com. He is "Guruji" from

Wayne Dyer's book Manifest Your Destiny.

 

There is a very good CD that can give you an experience of Siva rather

than telling you alot of legends or history of Siva. It is called The

One Minute Meditation.

 

Very simply you chant Ahhhhhh for the count of 10 in the root chakra.

Oohhhhh for ten in the heart chakra. MMMMM for 5 in the throat. Aum

for ten in the brow. Na for 5 in the base chakra. Ma for 5 in the

navel. Shi for 5 in the heart. Va for 5 in the throat and Ya for 5

in the brow. Repeat the whole process 5 times.

 

The Cd gives you advanced meaning and meditations, advanced usage of

the sacred sounds combining them with focus on the elements, and ways

of manifestation with the sacred sounds, however that practice alone

can give an actual mystical experience of Siva. It is extremely

powerful.

 

 

If you were to dedicate 5 minutes a day to this practice I would be
