Dear Sriman,

Namaste!!! Please do the respective pujas for each gem on the

associated days. Then wear the kavacha.

Best wishes, Richard

Thank you for your usual prompt reply.

Is it as simple as saying the correct mantra over the gem on the day of

the planet, or are more elaborate pujas necessary?

Dear Sriman,

Your puja can be elaborate or simple - as you like, it is matter of

your consciousness and respect to Grahadeva(s). Must simple is to

seated in clean area facing East at correct time, then wash the

talisman in pure water. Then offer incence to Lord Ganesh, and Ista

Deva. Then hold the talisman in the offered smoke and recite the

mantra, keeping in mind your purpose. Then offer to Lord Ganesh and

Ista Deva (with Tulasi if Vishnu), then bow and offer prayer.

After that please accept the talisman as blessed prasad, keeping in

mind the ruling Graha deva, wishes for his blessing.

In case of three gems, do this three different times, and only offer

to Ista Deva on the 3rd and final time, then begin wearing.

Best wishes,

Richard

Namaste!!! The days and times are different. Please tell me which 3 gems and I'll let you know that info.

Best wishes, R-

how does one know the correct time? Is it merely the morning of the

appropriate day?

Re: triratna blessing

Green sapphire for Mercury, Wednesday - 2 hours after Sunrise

White sapphire for Venus, Friday - Sunrise

Blue sapphire for Saturn, Saturday - 2 hours 40 minutes before Sunset

BTW: This timing info came from a book named Graha Gochar Jyotish

which I translated parts of in 1975. The book might still be available

at Sanskrit book stores, or maybe it's out of print. I no longer have

my original so I cannot quote the exact slokas. But I did translate

long ago, and I follow to this day.

Best wishes,

Richard
