Guest guest
Dear all, who knows how to judge left handedness in a chart? Are there any yogas in classical literature? Usually a left handed person has to face problems, in particular this may be apply to India, where the left hand implies impureness. But I have never read or heard about this subject in Jyotish... Thanks, Schanmuka
Guest guest
|Hare Rama Krsna| Dear Schanmukha, Namaskar. Left handedness (ruled by Moon and Venus) arises when the persons right-side of the brain is more dominant than the left. This is comparatively much more rare than right-handedness (ruled by Sun and Jupiter). So look for cases where the person is born with Lagnesh in Kendra or trines to Rahu (reversal of intelligence) whilst birth is during daytime in krishnapaksha, or nighttime in suklapaksha (again reversal). These people have a predominant influence of the right-side of the brain (which is the root cause of left handedness) and would have a tendency towards using the left hand or left leg more than their right. Venus also becomes very strong in such horoscopes. However, if Jupiter has a strong influence on the lagna/lagnesha, then the person may have had a parental figure or a teacher who forced them to use their right hand/legs more than their left. Guest guest
Om Namaste Ganapataye Dear Srivastava, what Visti said is what I was taught also, but I think there must be additional rules. I was born at krishna caturdasi during the day, with Lagnesha in 4th from Rh, my brother born at Purnima during night with Lagnesha in 19th from Rh, neither of us ever was lefthanded. Let's wait for Visti's answer. Guest guest
[ Hare Rama Krsna ] Dear Swami, I heard Sanjay mention once that Lefthandedness comes from Venus and the nodes. As we are looking at the physical use of the hand it is most likely that the Lagna must also feature. And since this is because of a dominance of one of the hemispheres of the brain, then Lagnesha must also be involved. In the first chart you have given, Venus is placed in the sign of Rahu and aspects Lagna and Lagnesha by rasi drsti. In the second chart, Lagnesha conjoins Venus, as the nodes aspect the Lagna. Of course other factors must also be present, but I have found that this is a general guide to being able to determine lefthanded tendencies from a chart. Respectfully, Michal [ Om Namo Narayanaya ] swami <swami_rcs > wrote: II Vyam Vyasadevaya Namah II Dear visti , nameste, i am really surprised , you have given pointes on a subject hardly discussed.I tried immediately and applied on two well known charts to me.My elder son is one. Guest guest
hare rama krishna, namaskar my son is a left handed child . vistis rule apply to him perfectly. born on shukla chaturdasi-at night his lagnesh sun sits with rahu in the fifth house. though he has jupiter in lagna,I do not think we have ever persuaded/forced him yto use his right hand ever. what however is interesting is that his moon is exalted and venus is sitting in libra.Like visti emphasises both moon and venus have to be strong. I think this needs to be factored in too. DOB. 19dec,1991,mumbai 10 27p.m. regards, anu. Guest guest
Dear Visti and all, thank you for your answer. Next time I will check whether or how your suggested precepts are working in a collection of charts of lefthanders. More observations about this subject and lefthander charts are wellcome. Guest guest
|Hare Rama Krsna| Dear Prashu, Namaskar. When the left side of the brain is stronger, the person uses their right hand. So the left side of the brain is stronger for right-handers. Its a reversal effect. So right-handed people are usually governed by more logic and inference, whilst left handed people are governed by more creativity and intuition. Whether one is smarter or more intelligent than the other i cannot say, as there exists no IQ tests at present to prove this. As for names, please give some examples. Many artists deliberately adjust their names to get an easily remembered name. Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Dear Guruji and members, Namaskar I have an interesting problem here. I know two identical twins (who are very similar in disposition, abilities and outlook, and who I assume to have the same lagna and quite possibly the same navamsa lagna). One is left handed and the other is right handed! Unfortunately I do not have their birth data, but even so it suggests that there is something else at play. I will see if I can get the birth data.
