Guest guest
II Vyam Vyasadevaya Namah II Dear rakesh , As mentioned earlier I am not experienced in using Swiss ephemeries directly. In my conversation via e mails i discussed about calculation accuracy with one Mr Patodia of Divyadristi Jyotish Software, and he mentioned that they take in account the parallex factor in calculating longitude of MOON, and computer performs hundred s of routines to arrive at correct longitudes, thats how I could guess what you are mentioning. In days of manual calculations when we used Lahri ephemeries sometimes when data used to be accurate to find correct longitude of Moon at the moment of Epoch we applied parallex correction to check dasa balance especially to experiment Dasa pravesh chakra.I do not purchase lahri ephemeries now a days,It must be having those tables even now. I am not sure , but on the website called Jyotisj tools. there is a java programme, that gives longitude with Correction and without it ,It also shows difference in Dasa Balance. In case you are interested to explore please visit that website. LunaCalc 1.03 This script calculates both the parallax and non-parallax positions of the Moon for a horoscope. The parallax view is where the moon would be if viewed from the location of the horoscope. It can vary as much as one degree and many astrologers will argue that Indian astrology is based on topocentric or visual locations. The program displays the dasha, bhukti, pratyantar periods. It displays the next main dasha period and date, the current dasha period and the difference in years, months and days between the two methods of calculation. Also displays the Moon's nakshatra for both calculations. link http://www.jyotishtools.com/jscripts.htm Thanks. Thanks, Rakesh ---------[ Received Mail Content ]---------- Subject : [Om Krishna Guru] Moon longitude oscillating with SWISS EPHEMERIS Date : Mon, 16 Oct 2006 02:01:36 -0400 (EDT) From : "Rakesh Sawant" To : , Cc : Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare| Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare|| Dear Gurujis, I am finding moon longitude being oscillating for ephemeris data with the interval of 30 seconds. Can you please tell me how to get the precise longitude with no such oscillations. FYI: I am using SWISS EPHEMERIS and "swetest.c" to get the planet's position. Also I am using LAHIRI ayanamsa. Please tell me how to get correct longitude values? Common sense is moon cannot back and forth and it has to always travel to next longitude position with increase in time!
