for instance mars placed in 12 in scorpio lagna have drishti over 3rd,

sixth, and seventh house. also mars is the lord of first and sixth. so

what shall be the influence of mars over these houses.

also parashar says that mars in sixth house gives dieases. what if

mars is also the rular of sixth house and also the karak of the sixth

house. what i feel is that for scorpio and gemini lagna mars is kark

and lord of sixth, mars should protect his house.

Hi net4practice,

I have Gemini lagna and Ma in 6th house. I am 62 yrs old and by God's grace I have been healthy all my life and not on any medicine so far. You can not apply any single rule in isolation.

Dear Ash ji,

I remember few days back you had exclaimed for one chart that the ascendant is VARGOTTAM!!!!!!!!!

To my information it means extra strong or say if a planet is Vargottam then it becomes more capable to deliver quality result.

In context to KAS can I have your inputs on 'Vargottam'.

There is no hurry for the reply.

Yes, one more thing. I have, as a practice started re-reading of all the chapters of KAS from the beggining in continuation, once again.

Now with time & with a better view of the things from an overall perspective, I usually come upon many small questions, which needs technical clarification.

I intend to put those questions on the forum referring to the chapter and with examples plus with alternative answers, one by one, anticipating kind replies from the experienced KAS astrologers and that might be of help to all learners.

I am sure we all will have time for this.

Nikhlesh Mathur

Dear Nikhlesh Ji,Of course VARGOTTAM means the planet gets extra strength in that chart but in the context of KAS, the vargottam planets is already given with points in WS.So here we do not consider theplanets as vargottam or debilitated or exalted. If I am wrong then Ash Ji may correct my thinking. You may take up any point for clarification. This way we are improving our knowledge and concept of KAS while discussion. Thanks and regards.Ramesh Mishranikhlesh mathur <nikhleshmathur wrote: 25.11.2008 Sub: KAS Learning Dear Ash ji, I remember few days back you had exclaimed for one chart that the ascendant is VARGOTTAM!!!!!!!!! Dear Ramesh ji and Nikhlesh ji,

Vargottam suggests some affirmation in planet's nature like how

strongly it will behave for giving an event during it's antradasa.

For example,in WS the result can be assured in better way as

LoD or LoE having MF less than 1 even, means with less efforts.

We can takes this as point of strength as well.

So more likely, this has less to do with strength and more to do

with its certainty of event.

Regards

Anup

Dear

Nikhlesh ji and Ramesh ji,

Regarding

Vargottam, it is special case and some concepts have

to be understood. Some theory portion might have to be

explained first before we venture into that topic. So I would rather that Guru ji explain this than me.

Yes,

what you have suggested is a good idea.

Please go ahead. It will

help everyone.

Cheers !!!

Dear Nikhlesh,

I am not sure whether vargottam planet is given any more points in WS. I have not seen that as per my understanding. May be Ash or Guruji can comment on that. As mentioned by a few here, vargottam is one of the strengths assigned to a planet in VA. So if a plnaet even if debilited ( sign based debilitation, not point based) planet becomes vargottam it improves its status.

Also as side note I have noticed that peopel with vargottam lagna know what they want to do in life from an early age, besides adding strength to lagna meaning physical self. May be Ash can comment on his experiences with vargottam from KAS point of view.

Dear

Satish ji and Nikhlesh ji,

I

have brought this up with Guru ji. There is some theory to be explained

then these concepts will fall in place.

If this is not explained and I write about it, it will cause a lot of

confusion. So I have informed Guru ji about this discussion regarding Vargottam.

Satish ji, this also ties in with one

discussion you had on another list regarding the House concept in D charts vs a House in Rasi along with other things. When Guru ji

explains these things, it will make sense and that can be practiced by with solving of charts the concept will

become clear and you will get concrete answers.

So

let us wait till Guru ji explains this in a proper manner

so that there will not be any confusion.

It is a detailed topic so I do not want to make any haste.

Cheers !!!
