Guest guest
Dear Learned Gurus, Let me attempt to answer this question and would request you to correct me where necessary. The shadbalas will typically give you whether the Lagna or the natal moon. The same is also true for dasas. Guest guest
DEAR SIR You mean that in shadbala if lagna gets more points than moon then lagna is taken or vice versa Puneet Ahuja astro_kid_1 <agnyeya > wrote: Dear Learned Gurus, Let me attempt to answer this question and would request you to correct me where necessary. Guest guest
I take it from lagna first. However, reconciliation is required in astrology. Guest guest
Dear Members: Transit effects of planets should be seen mainly from natal Moon sign. This is consistent with astrological traditions and even in the magnum opus of astrology and astronomy - BRIHAT SAMHITA, this is the method followed for interpreting the general effects of planetary transit. However, while calculating transit, planetary transit on certain sensitive raasis do tend to impinge on the general results. For example, when Jupiter transits the rasi occupied by 7th lord in navamsa, marriage of the person may take place, etc. Similarly sensitive house transits based on various varga charts can indicate various events apart from those shown by the general transit effects. But, on the whole, for getting a general picture as to whether auspicious or inauspicious results will predominate during a particular period, the transit effects should be mainly read from the natal Moon in a horoscope. Blessed be. Guest guest
How can you ignore lagna sir it is pivotal point where anything good or bad takes place dakshinastrologer <dakshinastrologer (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: Dear Members: Transit effects of planets should be seen mainly from natal Moon sign. Guest guest
Dear member: It is true that lagna is the pivotal point from where anything good or bad takes place....but the principles which state whether a transit is good or bad have been written keeping mainly moon sign as the indicator as I have already written in my earlier post. However, transits of planets over certain sensitive points like degrees where planets were posited in the natal horoscope can produce some modifications. For instance, if transit Jupiter transits the degree where Mars was situated in the natal horoscope, then it may give some improvement in status of the native or some acquisition and a general improvement in levels of self-confidence; because, in this case, this is a transit of a benefic over the lagna lord.....that is the way lagna and other house points are considered while predicting transit results. There is a vital difference between calculating transit effects from Moon and lagna.....Jupiter transiting 4th sign from Moon sign is a bad transit; at the same time, Jupiter transiting the 4th house cusp may bestow acquisition of new vehicles or houses for a person or improvement in academic faculties! Jupiter transiting natal Moon is reputed to be unsettling (there is a tamil verse that states that Natal Moon transit of Jupiter drove Shri Raama to the forest!) whereast Jupiter transiting Lagna degree is associated with good results. Even in these cases, it should be remembered, the general effects with respect to Moon may be more dominating! The transits with respect to lagna or other vital points will explain how certain good events can happen in the midst of a period of turmoil and also how certain bad events materialize when the transit effects with respect to Moon are all auspicious! While judging what a person is likely to experience during a particular period, we have to take three important factors into consideration: 1) whether general transit effects as reckoned from natal moon sign and moon star position are good or bad. 2) whether there are sensitive transits like transit of benefic/ malefic over vital points like house cusps, natal planet position, or naadi points indicating vital events like marriage, child birth, etc. Care must be taken to include ashtakavarga and kakshya indications as well! 3) Whether the current dasa-bhukti influences are auspicious or otherwise.
