Guest guest
• Astronomy without Astrology many times can be like trying to create a two headed dog just to see whether it can be done. Astronomy is the means and Astrology capable of achieving Human Health and Happiness is the goal. Objections to the Misleading Media reports which are apparently written by descendants of monkeys. These issues were not fully reported by the mass media. 1. Total Number of Astrologers eligible to vote was 2400. Actual number who voted was 400 to 500. The Greeks called this mobocracy rather than democracy. The astronomers who did not vote possibly realized that there were better things to do than see their name in print or T. V. 2. Pluto and Neptune are both feminine planets. And if both these lady friends wish to meet each other and continue with their eternal bonds of friendship, why mere mortals should object. It is only natural that Pluto changes her orbit a bit to gossip with Neptune about the silly things that men do. It is egoistical men who wish to push everyone out of their orbit and become Presidents of their clubs by cheap publicity stunts. Both Pluto and Neptune are feminine. How many male Astrologers were there among the voters? Ladies the world over should strongly object to such male chauvinist behavior. 3. Though the style of writing is humorous the issue is very serious. Astrology is at once a scientific art and a sacred philosophy. The serious side will be examined from the practical to the philosophical. Dr. Alan Boss, a planetary theorist at Carnegie Institution grandly declares "We have a duty to satisfy the whole world". Does he know what the whole world consists of? Ridicules statetement. The Bard expresses it beautifully when he says "There are more things under heaven and earth than you can dream of in your philosophy Horatio". Who has appointed him to satisfy the whole world and perform this noble duty?? Does declaring Pluto not a planet satisfy a real need or for that matter even an imaginary one. 4. There are 12 signs according to Hindu, Greek or Egyptian, Babylonian science or mythology if you prefer the term. A week ago they were thinking of giving 12 heavenly bodies, including Pluto, Ceres, Xena and Charon the status of planets. Why the sudden change? Will they inform the public at large in simple clear terms the reasons for their decisions? For the serious minded In the coming days the practical and the theoretical aspects will be given in detail. A note of caution Astrology is not fatalistic. Astrology is not just predicting the future but related to psychology, medicine, law economics science. Let me give concrete examples. Astrology and Science: John H. Nelson was an electrical engineer. He was doing research to find the possible connections between fluctuations in radio disturbance and celestial phenomena. Nelson discovered that most magnetic storms which cause radio disturbance occurred when 2 or more planets were in certain positions. The radio disturbances occurred when these planets were in 180 degree aspect or 90 degree aspect to the sun. He was able to predict radio disturbance with up to 93% accuracy. Astrology has always held that the 90 degree aspect - the square - and the 180 degree aspect – the opposition - to be disharmonious. Astrology and Medicine Ayurveda deals with the Hindu system of Medicine. Science knows that the Suns rays enrich Vitamins in the Human skin. The Sunflower turns in relation to the Suns movements. To the best of my knowledge no one has observed it do so because it suddenly noticed a cute flower. Is it possible that certain chemical properties in the sunflower change depending on the sun's movement? The time when medicinal herbs should be picked is given by Ayuveda based on Astrology. The problem may be that mass scale production may not be possible for any one multinational in the drugs business if they accepted Ayurveda. They may not be in a position to get a bigger bang for the buck. Astrology and Law Modern Democracy and all its Laws are based on the fundamental principle of the rights and responsibilities of the individual. Science has proved that the fingerprints of no two individuals can be the same. Does this have anything to do with the basic Astrological belief that no two persons can ever be the same? The planets because of their different speeds of revolution can never be in the same position in relation to each other. Astrology and Psychology The first basic principle is that each sign is unique with different characteristics. There are basically 12 signs each ruled by a different heavenly body. These heavenly bodies i.e. the planets, sun and moon all belonging to our solar system were associated by the ancients with gods and goddesses. E.g. Aries is ruled by the planet mars. Mars was considered to be the planet of war associated with Apollo the god of war. Please do not jump to the conclusion that an Aries person should necessarily join the army. All signs are further divided in to masculine and feminine that is six of one and half a dozen of the other. Aries is positive followed by Taurus which is negative and so on. This is known as the law of duality. Masculine signs are also known as positive. Feminine signs are known as negative signs. The word negative in astrology is used like in electricity and not with any bad connotations. They are further divided in to leaders, organizers and communicators. This expresses the law of triplicate which basically is the principle of relationship. If the universe were homogeneous, nothing could happen. If it were merely dual, nothing could happen either. A state of eternal and unbridgeable tension between two equal and opposite forces would result. There must be a reconciling principle, a third force. A sculptor and a block of wood will not produce a statue he must have an idea. Each type of sign has 4 belonging to the same group. However all 4 leaders have a different style of leadership. Aries leads in an inspirational, aggressive, dynamic and idealistic manner. Libra leads in a mental, forceful manner through gentle persuasion. The signs are further divided in to elements. The four elements are fire, earth, air and water. Organic chemistry is principally concerned with the interaction of four chemical elements hydrogen, carbon, oxygen and nitrogen. People may not like it if we refer to them as hydrogenic or carbonic or to express it differently Bertram Wooster would not consider it civil. And as a passing thought whatever a man may or may not be, his first and foremost duty is to be civil in the best tradition of the term. Therefore it is more civilized to refer to people as fiery, earthy, airy and watery. Vivek alp4 (AT) rediffmail (DOT) com
Guest guest
Dear researcher, I have heard of ants sprouting wings just before they die! Scorpions too -- if we are to believe you! The Nazi regime had been in recent past been called the "Eagle" (as in the movie: The Eagle has landed!) Well fifty years later we know how THAT eagle landed or crashed! I am sure there are other eagles around and there will be more in times to come! The CRUCIAL thing to remember, historically, is that none of these high flyers can keep flying and must eventually come back to earth to rest (if they glide down gradually!) or to die (if they are too ambitious!).
