Guest guest
Dear Chandrashekharji, I am curious about something. Is it possible to know from the Planets position and strength that a person could have age of more than 200/300 years? Again, is it possible to know from a chart that a person would be able to learn the secret Yogic methods of Distant Travelling or other Siddhis?? My both questions are way out of everyday Jyotish Q&A. I myself do not know Jyotish. But I have had personal incidents which are somehow related to above questions. So I am very curious. Are there certain Grah whose strong influence provides a learning or leaning towards these secret methods?? What other things one should look for among the positions of the planets in a chart? Any pointers or indications from You or others would be appreciated. Many thanks. Take care. Guest guest
Dear Laxmi Narayan, There are certainly yogas that indicate Aparimitaayu (life expectancy beyond measure). Whether one will in fact live to that age is dependent on how much of the Yamas and Niyamas he is able to observe. If my memory serves me right, this was the answer given by Bhishma when asked as to why people rarely live the age indicated by their charts. Same is the case of obtaining siddhis or yogic practices. So connection of Jupiter and Saturn as well as the 8th bhava or its lord could indicate the potential of a chart to obtain them. But whether one is able to harvest the potential depends on his karmas in the present life. This is the Kriyaman karma and incidentally this may also help people understand the extent to which one's free will has a say in the results of the chart, a question many a times debated on Jyotish lists and even in personal queries. Guest guest
Dear Chandrashekharji, Many thanks for your suggestions. It is true that at the beginning and as well as the present time, the auspicious position of the planets might have been useful but it is the kriyaman karma, which has provided some experiences. Your insight has given me new energy. My thanks to Rohiniji as well for removing my doubts about eclipse in another thread. Sorry, I am so late with my response. Constant pursuit of extraordinary goals brings its own everyday stresses. Thanks again. Take care. Guest guest
Dear Laxminarayan, Both are of equal importance. One is the potential and the other aids in realizing the potential. Since the position of grahas is not in one's hand one can at least put in his best efforts in a righteous manner and improve one's lot. That is why Karna said "DaivayattaM kule janmaH madaayuttaM tu paurusham" meaning fate decides in which family one is born but putting up maximum efforts is in my hands (that is the nearest I can translate in English the word Paurusham). Take care, Chandrashekhar. Laxmi Narayan wrote: > > Dear Chandrashekharji, > Many thanks for your suggestions.
