Picking the battles, leaving it for the summer

After alot of thinking the past 3 days, I've decided to leave the

issue of being banned from IAM and such for next summer. As much

as I'd like it resolved soon, there's too many reasons to re-

schedule it:

1. Stress level and income: I have serious problems in just about

every area of my life, and they normally shift into "Priority" as

needed. A month and a half ago, I've had to force the issue of a

Job Search into Priority, which breaks the natural flow and puts

more pressure on my other problems. By going to Detroit this Fall,

I'd definitely have to get a decent full-time job before or shortly

after to not be paying for the excursion half-way into '07. Don't

need the added pressure right now.

2. Kundalini: All the contemplation on the issues the past 3 days

has jump-started my Kundalini with its usual kriyas, altered

consciousness and need for extra rest. I like it's transformative

effects, but it forces my attention inward when I need it outward

for a job search.

3. Energy Drain: I'm still in shock from hearing about the former

acquaintence that left Amma and is now in obvious pain and anger.

I haven't been depressed since living in that crappy trailer park

in '03, but this shock still has me numb and it's hard to

concentrate. It's easy for devotees to care about card-carrying

members of satsang, but who cares for these? That's why it's wrong

to criticize people like Gayatri when they leave, because you don't

know their despair. It also shows the need for real satsang,

which might have prevented or lessened the fall.

All this for a meditation class and to finally prove to the DC

group and Dayamrita how wrong they are? I'm not that eager to be

proven right, and time is my ally, as truth wins in the end no

matter how long it takes.

Being Pitta Dosha, Autumn has always been my Spring. Plus, my

astrology chart shows things getting better in mid-December.

First of All although Amma very much would like for Her children to gather for

Satsangs I think in Your case if that is not possible for whatever reasons You can

still find Amma in Your heart. You do not have to go to retreats etc... if financially that is

not permissible . Just Meditate upon Her , find some peace and sometimes a little

seclusion is good . However negative comments about anyone to anyone will create more

negativity in your own life , it is best to keep silent if one wants to say unpleasant things .

If you are in difficulties financially please address this issue to Amma directly , She will

guide You , She has done so in my situation , Amma has helped me not only spiritualy but

also financialy. You need to be direct to Amma , adress these issues to Mother . And if

You will not receive your answer right away , please give yourself time most of all take it

easy . No one sad spiritual path guaranties prosperity in all fields, hardships are just part

of life we need to accept them and learn not to give up , weather these things are

astrological magnets pulling out the impurities or karmic debts it is just part of Life .

Amma always sees the bigger picture .

wish you all the best . J

Namaste Dear Tom,

I am glad to see that you are opening up just a bit and being at

least a little more honest; by revealing some of the difficulties in

your life.

Basically you have told us that you are not handling your problems

well at all. And so you lash out and blame everyone else; perhaps

the whole world.

It is so obvious what the problem is because everyone has the same

problem and Amma tells us what it is : EGO !

The difference is that most of us have some control and try

practicing Amma's Teachings( humility, compassion, forgiveness,

acceptance, not judging, taking our problems to Amma, etc). But,

your ego is so clever that it has convinced you that its antics are

dharmic.

Well, please read Chapter 2 of Awaken Children Vol 6 and see how

others see you. I offer this advice with all best wishes for your

awakening to truth and not the lies your ego is telling you. Amma

tells us that mind/ego is a liar.

You also tell us that you are having some intense kundalini

experiences. Amma clearly says that without close guidance of a

Guru, intense kundalini experiences can lead to delusion and other

problems. You have been having this problem for a long time now. My

2cents: this should be your first priority; to ask Amma's help to

keep you stable and humble and not deluded.

Would be good for you to see Mother this November.

All the Best with Amma's Blessings,

amarnath
