Guest guest
Om Amriteswaryai Namaha, Sweta, i do not believe Amma wishes to strongarm anyone into doing anything( satsang, seva, IAM, etc, etc ). When Swamiji, this summer, was saying "we must meditate, we must be disciplined, we must etc, etc ), Mother interrupted him and said "ONLY IF WE WANT TO!!!" I always try to remember Amma's words "one way for all is dangerous." I feel that discipline and ways of doing things should not be dictated by an organization as a dogma; it can only be suggested and perhaps presented in a course; them it's up to each individual to see if it's working for oneself. I have no problems with any of Amma's Satsang groups because I do not expect them to be perfect, to be to my liking or for them to like me. My participation or lack theroff is totally my responsibility. I used to be one of the coordinators; now I stay home and chant my mantra. Of course, if we wish to benefit from any group, we need to respect and abide with the group's guidlines not our own guidlines; and as Amma says whatever we do, do it with LOVE; otherwise, why waste our time. Things like discipline and dharma is something that should be imposed only on one-self and never on somebody else. If we try to impose it on others, we will come out short, always!!! It's a different thing when we surrender to a guru and have instructions directly from Her. Remember, what faults we see in others is merely a projection of our own; IMHO, it's not worth getting stuck on negative fixed positions which contract us; let us expand instead into the vastness of the sky which is Our Dear Amma. Amma Bless, amarnath om santi, santi, santihi; lokaha samastaha sukhino bhavantu! Recently, a talk at the MA Center included how Amma wants us to particiapte in satasngs, aso we can all evolve together. Yes, it can be very hard. But, growth & worthwhile things can be that way. Amma must really want us to go to satsangs, since it's often one of the criterias for handing prasad to Amma. > > Sweta > >>>>>
