Om Namah Shivaya,

Tom, I'm really sorry to hear about the stresses you've been under.

And I totally disagree with banning anyone from an IAM course. I

just cannot picture Amma punishing "negative behavior" by revoking a

practice aimed at moving one into a peace-filled state of mind. That

just seems silly to me, though I do not know the whole story.

I'm not crazy about the tone of some of your posts either, but I am

very disappointed to hear of this situation, especially in light of

the other stressful factors in your life right now. I would think

that when a fellow devotee is in crisis, his spiritual community

would rally in support of his well-being.

Do we have to make such elaborate efforts at changing one another?

Why don't we just focus on our own stuff?

A group of Japanese students (or maybe it was bramacharis?) went to

build some of the free houses for Amma in India. Some of the

recipients were not very kind or gracious, let alone appreciative of

the seva the students were offering them. But did Amma say, "Oh,

they have a negative attitude, let's not serve them." No, there was

a need, and Amma said "serve," regardless of the consciousness of

the ones being served.

We have taken the Satguru for our own growth, not so that we could

change the consciousness of others to suit our own tastes.

love,

Prajna
