Best wishes,

your help.if a person is required to wear for example a yellow

Sapphire of 5Ct's.does he have to make it in a single gemstone or he

can use 5 gems of 1ct .this way he can achieve the d 5Ct's in

a limited budget.as buying a gem of 5Ct's is going to be very expensive.

YES! Plus must consider hardness or density of a gem, like diamond is many times harder and condensed than any other gems. It was article just posted out of interest. Y/s, R-

Planetary gemology has little or no "concrete" guidelines. There are

some common notions that many would agree to but you could probably

count these on one hand. Most use experience, intuition and/or what we

were taught.

The thumb rule as presented seems very scientific and confirms to many

that the larger stone weights of around 5 carats are most effective,

but then again, I hardly know of anyone that would disgree that larger

flawless stones would not be effective. So the results of this formula

always come up with a larger stone weight for anyone of normal body

weight.

As applied in the example, it would take a diamond of 5 rattis to be

effective for someone weighing 67 kilos.

Speaking in a field with little or no agreement on absolute

principles, one of the few things that many of us in planetary

gemology would agree on would be that diamonds can be much smaller

than the other planetary gems and be just as effective.

Even a 120 pound, or 54.3 Kg person would require a 4 ratti diamond stone.

Because of this, I feel the "thumb rule" it is just so much number

play. Why divide by thirteen and not nine, or 27? kilograms versus

pounds, or English stones for that matter?

If we divide the weight by 27, the number of the constellations, we

still get a valid figure of 2.48 rattis that agrees well with the 2

carat size that is a common "effective" size for remedial stones!

Perhaps it might be better to start compiling what we feel we know

collectively as planetary gemologists that work to find a working

formula to determine stone weight, or guidleines to test in this regard.

The PGA started to do this for Anukul/Pratikul among its members and

made a large step forward in planetary gemology. Couldn't we continue

along these lines for other principles too?

Just some thoughts.

Blessings,

Allen

Namaste Richardji

i know but this is a hypothetical question.and i am just curious to know.if one can substitute a large pc with small ones to make up the weight prescribed.
