Dear Jose Ji

Namaskar and thank you for posting this question....need more

information on this to answer in the best way as cannot access

picture sent with message

Specific to the wording in your question there is a standard set by

Siva Purana for quality of Beads to be used

In Siva Purana Vidyesvara Samhita part 21 is stated

O Goddess.......Rudraksha of even size, glossy, firm, thick and

haveing many thorn like protrusions yield desires and bestow worldly

pleasures and salvation for ever

When inspecting any new crop of the Holy Rudraksha Beads Rudra

Center encounters many different grades of beads and only buys the

best according to Siva Purana and that means buying only about 40%

to 50% of any collection because as you have implied in your

message........there are some beads that simply dont form as well as

others as they grow on tree

So there are different grades of Rudraksha Beads that any one can

buy......same Mukhi Beads of different colors and different sizes

and all this due to different growing conditions in environment most

likely...some dont have the deep lines or large exterior protrusions

on the outside surface of the beads and the exterior protrusions are

not thick and glossy and do not raise far from surface....some of

the Indonesian beads are almost non recognizable specific to just

what Mukhi they might be

So getting back to your question......specific to size it seems you

are speaking of a mala consisting of different sized Indonesian

Punch Mukhi Rudraksha that have been combined on a mala with sphatik

crystal beads......have never heard of Shakti Quartz bead from

Himalayas however is most likely the same Sphatik Crystal beads you

will see on our website at www..com.....dont know why

they would have a crack inside of them

Red orange dye is common from Indonesian or Nepal and Indonesian

Punch Mukhi Beads of lesser quality sometimes are such because they

do not show all the Mukhis clearly so there is a gradeing system

with Indonesian Beads as well as with the Nepal Beads

If the Beads are getting dark in color it just means they are

naturally ageing and going darker similar to silver discoloring as

it ages...all you have to do is clean the beads with soft tooth

brush in warm water and light mixture of soap.........then rinse and

let dry........then if you want to lighten the color soak them in

lemon juice until they lighten up for you...after this soak them in

a clear oil like sandlewood oil or maybe olive oil and you will have

lighter color beads.......if traditional mustard oil is used then

the beads will darken naturally again

Most all the beads become darker as they age so this is normal

however from what you are saying........your mala is made up of

different sized beads where some dont show all the mukhis and then

with crystal that has cracks in the beads.....this seems to be a

less expensive mala made with a lower grade of beads.........however

again I have not seen the picture of your mala or the mala itself so

really cant comment on this

A higher grade mala where quality of beads would be more in line

with Siva Purana would have all beads much the same size and with

all Mukhis showing in addition to good detail of outer protrusions

that raise from the outside surface of the bead and sphatik crystal

beads that were totally clear with no cracks

Difference in color really doesnt matter as there is stated in the

SriMadDeviBhagavat that 38 different colors were developed for the

benefit of the mankind and these colors range from red to brown to

rich brown and white and black

Rudra Center buys only all natural colors and what we have

experienced from the past are beads that are light tan to brown to

rich brown and black as natural colors in this age

Sometimes the retailers will have different colored beads that are

dyed and sometimes they will tell their clients to keep them in

yellow or red powders......for example when I met with owner of Puja

International in Fremont in 2002 the owner showed me a 14 Mukhi Bead

and was extremly happy with haveing 14 Mukhi.......the man who sold

the bead to the owner gave instructions to keep bead in a small box

with a yellow powder covering it

I was allowed to examine the bead and found that it was a Round

Nepal 5 Mukhi Bead that had 9 lines or Mukhis cut into it by an

artisan makeing it a fake bead......was kind of difficult to say

that the bead was a fake and I was surprised that the owner would

not believe me

Was kind of an odd situation because the owner had faith in the fake

bead......... and in addition to this faith also had all the

difficulties in business and life that an authentic 14 Mukhi would

help to relieve........and was still trying to get out of all the

difficulties an authentic 14 Mukhi might help with

Was like owner was blinded by something and could not see forest due

to the many trees that made up the forest...........I gave up trying

to explain the difficulty as the owner could not see that the Bead

was fake and was sure the difficulties that were being experienced

were due to something else

It was nice to go to Fremont at time of India Independence Day

Festival however it was kind of sad to see a person so mixed up and

unsure of what to do.......am hopeing all is better for owner and

family

hope this helps to explain a little more about beads and their

grades and colors

Wishing all the Best

Rudra Center India and America

DD
