Hello to you.

I am new to the group, and a relatively new student of astrology.

Could someone please help by listing indications of surgery in the

horoscope; specifically, surgery on the right knee and leg below the

knee, as well as the insertion of plates, screws, in the tibia ( upper

part of the lower leg).

Thank you.

Hi Talljun,

Welcome to our group and your study of Jyotish.

Surgery is indicated by Mars. My book here gives for knees: 10H, Saturn,

Capricorn. For Metals in general it lists: Mars (precious metals would be

different). Screws is listed: Scorpio.

Best wishes,

Patrice

Patrice ji,

Could you please tell us what book you are using?

///For Metals in general it lists: Mars///

According to

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surgical_stainless_steel

"Most surgical equipment is made out of martensitic

steel—it is much harder than austenitic steel, and

easier to keep sharp."

Iron is ruled by Sani, and since most surgical devices

are based on steel (iron and its alloys), I

wonder--does Sani also play a role here? After all,

surgery is required because of some disease, and Sani

is the natural Roga Karaka.

Hello, and thank you for your prompt replies to my question.

Please, if I may ask additional questions.

On the day/time of the surgery, must Mars, indicator of surgey, aspect the ascendant, ruler of the house/body part in question, or does the dasa rulers carry more weight in this matter?

Regarding the plates/screws, I am informed that there are 3 types of materials generally used; the old fashioned material is surgical quality steel; the second material is an alloy of surgical steel and titanium, and the third material is the newest,

surgical grade polymers (plastic based). I am in the process of finding out which was used in this case.

Thank you again for your insights.

hi thomas,

dasa is main player in this case..but other players r equally important.

if we talk about remadial measure in case of charts in which it is established that mars is not a "yogkarak" { favourable } planet and at the same time mars dasa- antardasa is running:

BLOOD DONATION at regular interval will avoid surgery, accident etc.
