Ayurvedic rather than a fatal birth control

We often feel that a medicine to be applied topically may be safer

than what is to be consumed orally. Transdermal application is felt

as safe and harmless, since immune system will take care.

About two years ago, author had stated the simplest form of birth

control pill is taking 1 tsp of turmeric powder (Haridra) with honey,

from day 1 to 10 of menstrual cycle, on empty stomach early morning

as an effective birth control method adopted by tribals.

Vaidyas with scinetific mindset had offered various criticism as this

had no scientific proof in the form of scientific studies. But now, a

birth control method having been studied(!) scientifically and

approved by F.D.A. has been shown to be fatal. The damaging effects

of latex rubber allergies, spermicide side effects, copper-T

problems, birth control pills are quite widely known.

The FDA has issued a warning regarding the elevated risk of blood

clots in a woman's legs and lungs from the Ortho Evra birth control

patch. To fully understand the damage by this method and how J&J settled several claims outside courts, please visit:

If one is so particular about "pseudo-scientific research" supporting

the trust on a herbal formula author recommends:

An article on using neem oil for birth control, with proper online

scientific references can be found on:

and another method "Scientifcally studied" and mentioned in Samhitas :

For researchers at India's National Institute of Immunology it is a

medical coup of sorts. The institute has developed a herbal

contraceptive which is being termed as a wonder pill for women

wanting to delay childbirth.

According to Susruta Samhita, the seeds of the plant Pippalyadi Vati

have been used as anti-fertility agent since ancient times. The other

plant 'Vidanga' too has many uses. The most important being its root

that is consumed by the inhabitants of the Himalayas to guard against

freezing temperatures of the region. Vidanga is one of the principla herb in the formulations "Krimikuthar" and "Vidangarishta" often used to kill parasites in human intestines. The seed extracts of both these

plants are mixed in Borax powder to give it a solid composition.

It should be noted that though these methods may be successful,

question comes when you wish to convceive again. The long term

effects of even herbal contraception methods on libido and fertility

are not known. THe law of natures operates here. If you do not use a

faculty given by nature for a long time, the faculty becomes ineffective by itself.

Use of medicines to discourage the properties of our bodies will

slowly make the body incapable of exhibiting such a property again.

For instance, if we do not do not participate in intellectual

arguments/discussions, intellect will become dulled after some time.

Our environment is full of anti-fertility toxins, making infertility

a largest epidemic, whose strength we do not know since such data is

not widely available. but if one looks at women in child bearing age

suffering from PCOS or related issues, it can be said that the mad

race after materialism is about to wipe off the robustness of future

generation's health.

The ancient texts mention several other ways of contraception using

herbs alone. Author found at least 60 more herbal receipes but none

as easy as turmeric + honey.
