Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya, In one of the Awaken Children books, Amma's quoted as saying that of millions who've tried to reach the goal, only a few have made it. Today I felt disheartened by this. How could someone such as me, a busy single mother on the other side of the globe from Amma's physical presence, stand a chance of reaching the goal, after millions have failed? Any thoughts on this? Guest guest
Dear Sweta, Try not to get discouraged, just keep on trying. I think many don't make it because they think it is of no use to try because it is so hard to do! As long as we are here, we may as well just keep trying to do the best we can. Amma does say a few do make it! It could be YOU! Born in 1916, she fully realized God in a wonderfully short time by simply repeating her mantra( God's Name) night and day. It seems for me at this time mantra japa is becoming a priority more and more. Amma Bless, amarnath
Guest guest
Dear Amarnath, Om Namah Shivaya, Thank you for the suggestion. Biographies & Autoiographies of saints are greatly inspiring. Since Syama Mataji's God-realization was happened quickly, she may have been picking up where she left off, after some lifetimes of spiritual practices. In one of Amma's books, She says something about if it doesn't happen in this lifetime, then we'll need to come back again, & work even harder. Like you, Amarnath, I've been feeling much more determination to do spiritual practices. With Amma's compassion, our attempts are bound to bear some fruit. Guest guest
Also, remember that Amma says that we already are that which we are seeking to realize. She said it beautifully this summer when she stated that instead of using the word "surrender" she prefered the word "acceptance." "You don't need to fill your heart with Love because you ARE Love." -Amma love, Prajna
