Continuous Repetition of God's Name ~ Mantra Japa

Dear Friends,

I have been trying to remember to repeat my mantra all during the day

while I am going thru my daily chores. I used to be always singing and

humming, whistling, you name it! And if I heard a commercial jingle or a

silly song, that song or jingle would be trapped in my head all day long.

Now, when I catch myself doing this, I just start repeating or chanting

my mantra. Repeating the mantra during mundane chores like vacuuming and

doing dishes, folding clothes and dusting helps pass the time well too.

Whenever I find myself getting impatient while waiting in lines or being

stuck in traffic, I take my little hand rosary that I made and on the 10

Hail Mary beads I say my mantra, and on the Our Father bead or cross, I

say OM Shanti, Shanti, Shanti OM, Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu X 3.

Over and over again. This way I am repeating my mantra plus praying for

Peace as Amma requested. Sometimes I have to stop this practice while

driving as I get "spacy" sometimes with the repetition! mare
