Guest guest
Dear Wendy and Rizwan, Yes, it's virtually impossible to give an exhaustive list of potential implication of retrogression, and if I may add, any planetary station, as well- the only thing that we can be sure about is that the planet/related issues in such conditions will be more pronounced, than otherwise would be the case. In my own chart Sa is stationary retrograde /just stopped in direct movement, to turn retrograde/ and it certainly is very significant fact /many astrologers who looked at my chart missed to notice that/. I haven't seen too many charts with stationary retrograde or direct motion of planets, so I am wondering if the planetary effects are more favourable if the planet is about to go direct - if we look at progression issue here, that might be a factor /either +ve or -ve, depending on the nature of planet/? Guest guest
Dear Rizwan, I understand your interest, but as Wendy said, 'crush course on this issue is simply not possible. Each chart has its own specifics and retrograde planet must not be seen in isolation. With that warning in mind, for example Ju is natural karaka for children and spouse in female chart, so we can say that Ju's retrogression will adversely affect these issues /children, marriage/. How, specifically...depends. Hope you got the point here. Guest guest
Dear Rizwan, Before I switch off and drag this weary body to bed, might I ask what books you've gained this information from and in what context were these principles given? I still say quite firmly that every chart needs to be judged on its own merits. As an example I have the chart of a native (well known to me) who has Saturn in retrograde motion. This native is most certainly not self-critical nor a negative thinker (quite the opposite). He is and always has been the quintessential 'Positive Thinker'. He is today a self-made multi-millionaire. Guest guest
Hi List, I have Saturn retrograde and I've suffered some reversals as per Saturn's lordships. However, since the planet itself is strengthened due to retrogression and its status in the Navamsa and Dasamsa, it has given me good results with respect to career. Saturn's transit through 1st house (Gemini) and current return have been rewarding. My natal Mercury is stationary direct bang on my 7th house MEP -- this possibly explains my reluctance to get married (though that is slowly changing now :-) Natal Jupiter is also very slow, having just come out of retrogression - its effect on children remains to be seen. When a planet passes over natal Jupiter in transit, it gives significant developments in career etc. Rgds, K. Guest guest
Dear Group, While on this topic, there is also this view that in case there is planet which is exalted and is retro it gives the effect of being in debility and vice a versa. With my limited experience I have felt that such a planet (exalted but retro) gives the effect of exaltation only but at a later age.Till that time the effect of that planet is less than ordinary giving a feeling of debility.
