Guest guest
I've applied for a group on Prosper.com and will post a PDF flyer here when the group is official. The name I submitted was Sri Seva Credit. Registration is free. If you log on and search, the homepage might actually come up but show that it's yet to be approved, I don't really know. The previously mentioned article in Esquire should be on the newstands now (Oct. '06, p207?) At the time I didn't realize it wasn't available yet. So far my experience of bidding $50 on loans resulted in 2 times the loan expired before it was fully funded. Another time I chose a loan already funded and ended up gettin out-bid. But, finally I bid on one where the guy had good credit but wanted to test the service, and I won it so my $50 3-year loan at 15%, should be paying me $1.73/month for the next 3-years, unless it's paid off early. The listings I've seen so far, expire with either only a handful of bids, or people compete with the interest rates of loans already full, because many times they're small-time bidders like me. Even if you choose another group to join on Prosper, please list us as a Supported Group. Borrowing and Pooled-Lending, eBay style on Prosper.com U.S. Residents with bank accounts only, sorry. Sri Seva Credit group, flyer coming shortly. tom
