Respected Learned Members,

I have just known that we can also use Lagna Tara to calculate

Vimsottari instead of Janma Tara by seeing the previous post(#1654)

on this site. I have some doubts on this and I request Learned

members to clarify them.

I have been unaware of this till now. Because in Andhra Pradesh,India

most of the Astrologers use only Vimsottari that to with reference to

Janma Tara only.

My question is

1) Incase,If both Chandra Lagna and Lagna are strong Which Vimsottari

should be used?

Check my case:

In my chart Lagna is Capricon with two Grahas viz., Su & Venus in it.

Moon is in exaltion Placed in Tarus. Also through Graha Dristi

concept more Planets view Moon. So Both are considered to be strong.

2) Is there any order in considering the strength?

3) In which classic does this calculation is mentioned (using Lagna

Tara. I havent seen this BPHS).

If you take Lagna Tara we have to start from Moon Maha Dasa whereas

if we use Janma Tara we have to start from Sun Maha Dasa.

When I checked

I had given my birth details below.

[rafal] Chandra Vimshottari.

[rafal] Look at Kendras to Chandra or Lagna.

3) In which classic does this calculation is mentioned (using Lagna

Tara. I havent seen this BPHS).

[rafal] Tara are seen in Satya Jataka while using that from Lagna is from my Guruji Visti Larsen (parampara).

Dear Sri Upendra,

namaskar. Yes, ppl used Chandra

vimsottari by default in some places and astottari by default in other

places like east india. But Maharshi's have given hundreds of dasas for

a reason. They have tried to tailor to the variety of native births

instead of using a blanket dasa for everyone. So we should take

advantage of this. When we act and react according to the mind's

experience we tend to follow the Vimsottari Chandra scheme. When there

is a difference then other dasas come to be more effective and takes out

the guesswork in prediction.

The way to consider the relative strengths of Janma and Lagna sphutas is

to compare the number of grahas in kendra to Chandra (excluding Chandra

himself) and in kendra to Lagna. If they are equal then considering

Chandra himself, the Chandra-kendras become stronger. If Lagna-kendras

win by a margin of one graha then compare the strengths of these grahas.

If everything remains the same then Consider AK relative to Chandra of

Lagna. If Chandra is in kendra to the lagna, such a comparison will not

work and use Vimsottari Chandra dasa.

If a special conditional dasa applies, like Chaturaseetika Sama Dasa or

Dwisaptati Sama Dasa, then use that over and above Vimsottari. Please

review Vimsottari and Udu Dasa Book (VUD) by Sanjay-ji which is

uploaded in this group's files section.

Best wishes,

Sourav
