My pranams to all devotees here,

I think most people might be heard of Hanuman birth, that is incornation of vayu.Vayu means its a god of Air.

When Anjanadevi given birth to Anjaneya, he jumped to sky and wanted to attack rahu, mean time indra ( the king lord of devaloka) was coming in his Airavatha( that is the name of his vehicle elephant).

Saw this hanuman keeping Rahu in his shoulders, he thrown his Vajrayudha, it has touched hanumans face , then hanuman fallen down to earth.

This all the thing watched by the lord Vayu, he got so much angry, he simply taken all the air in atmosphere , so that none was able to breath, then all went to lord brahma.

Atlast Brahma came to Vayu and he put the name Hanuman.

Hanu means down to the lips( i dont no what its called in english)

Mantha means having lot of elephant power

Thats why he is called Lord Hanuman, and all of know that he is a son of Anjana devi, thats why he is called Anjaneya.

Again my pranams to all devotees,

Jayasimha Chaturvedi

Deven, you're absolutely correct that Anjaneya is Son of Anjani. He

is also said to be Son of Vayu I think (correct me if I'm wrong).

For those who don't happen to realize it, Lord Anjaneya is also Lord

Hanuman. Just like Ganesha is also Vinayaka and rudraksh is also

rudraksham.
