Dear Erik,

 

Welcome to this board. And to Jyotish! Since you are presumably a

tropical (american) astrologer, what I would recommend for you is to

post your birth data here amongst the many fine astrologers of all

levels and abilities. You may find that the same data is producing

charts that are very different from what you have been accustomed to

and relate to!

 

It is almost like going for a summer to another country and living

with local hosts!

 

You may end up falling in love with the host culture and revisit many

times or even adopt thata country or at the worst you would have a

home to return to!

 

I speak from personal experience! I did not learn much from the

astrology of my host (now home) country but did learn a lot from my

hosts!

Hi thank you for the offer of reading my chart.

 

I am "initiate" which is Western word for something I saw in the

s'astras, translated, "knower of Brahman." I would like to know the

Sanskrit equivalent that this expression was translated from.

 

The point of telling you this, there was an astrology, a sidereal

astrology revealed by the departed soul of a Tibetan Lama, by the

name of Djwahl Kuhl.

 

It has been claimed that he prefers to be known as "Master D.K." to

avoid identification with his earthly name.

 

He refers to several levels of initiation in consciousness, and his

teaching applies to what he calls "disciples" which are those who

have received the 3rd initiation in the series, and to "initiates."

 

In this science, you use different planetary rulerships for the

signs, than you use when doing charts for people who have no

significant spiritual momentum, so to speak.

 

It is very charming to me to contemplate what the members might say

about my chart, but I asked my Guru, and he found a way of

confirming my inclination to stick to the policy of using Master

D.K.'s teachings in the case of an initiate.

 

There is a book, telling this system. It is entitled "Esoteric

Astrology", and is credited to his emanuensis, Alice A. Bailey.

However, it was presumably dictated to her, either telepathically,

or by his materializing in her presence.

 

Insofar as receiving the initiation, to become "Knower of Brahman",

this is being offered to EVERYBODY because of the emergency

situation happening now in the dark depths of Kali Yuga, so it

doesn't make me special, just that I was offered the opportunity and

asked for it, and so can anybody in this special time. It is free.
