Guest guest
Dear forum members, Increasingly over the years, I have been getting requests from individuals who talk the astrological lingo, as in know their chart positions and some yogas (ayanamsha considerations aside). I generally do not respond right away with a promise but tend to explore. In a certain fraction of cases, what emerges is that they want a procedure or object that will make them get their desired objective. Sometime it is an object, or a human being, or a position in a university or whatever. A few also request how they can quickly reach salvation without much trouble through wearing a gemstone or praying to a deity. I do not post this to mock them, and many of similar thinking may also exist amongst us in the thousands that inhabit this island (ISolated LAND) of reality as I have always called jyotish! In the 70s, and 80s, I recall, there were more individuals that blatantly challenged astrology and said so up front. They were not looking for remedies or how to fix their destinies. Something happened or shall I say occurred during the 90s? New age arrived and suddenly everyone began clamouring for remedies and fully convinced that as long as they find the right astrologer, their karma will be fixed for good and even salvation is just a mantra away! Please trust me -- it is not being written in a mocking spirit as I have so often being blamed for. Who do I have to mock for? What really do I have to gain by mocking someone in the field of astrology? Jyotish is a wonderful oasis, but I am not stopping here to make friends, but to give temporary respite to my parched soul before I face the desert again! THEY promise us that each desert ends at a river or even an ocean just beyond its reach! Guest guest
Historians a few centuries later may call our age as the Information Revolution. So much of information, a person will select the piece he likes. Even doctors and computer specialists are told of the consumer demands. It is only natural that the same is being demanded of the Jyotishi. Please tell me if this beautiful rajayoga in my chart will fructify. Please....so does the seeker implore. And why not? Is not this life about making things better and better for oneself? It is the purpose of Jyotisha and jyotishis to assist the seeker in creating a better life. I cannot define better though. Ayanamsha, well that is another subject.... rishi
Guest guest
Why back off now, Sir? Ayanamsha is a perfect example! Information succumbing to experiential personal reality! Guest guest
For sir, experiential personal reality is individual perception again a pattern personally experienced and found in many a cases. The ayanamsha is a measurement of the precessional effect and unending time cycles reveal a simple pattern. Not complicated, only if we are willing to look at the picture!! rishi , "crystal pages" <jyotish_vani wrote: > > Why back off now, Sir? > > Ayanamsha is a perfect example! > > Information succumbing to experiential personal reality! > > > RR > > > , "rishi_2000in" > <rishi_2000in@> wrote: > > > > Historians a few centuries later may call our age as the > Information > > Revolution.
