dear prafullaji

you wrote:

"What is the credibility test for the astrologers, who are

predicting or suggesting quick fix remedies !! They are harming

more, than serving people ... "

even though your observations are specific to bhaskarji's mail, your

general negative criticism of contributing astrologers needs

substantiation by facts or proof.

what do you mean by this sentence. you wish to subject all

contributors taking time and parting knowledge freely and spending

energies freely have to be SUBJECTED TO CREDIBILITY, NAY, YOU BRAND

THEM HARMING THE QUERENTS MORE THAN SERVING. facts speak

otherwise. can you show any mails from querents complaining about

negative results after performing remedies from this group. on the

contrary i read hundreds of thank you mails in this group.

if few astrologers are reading charts and suggesting remedies in

this group and thousands of qeurents approach them, you come and

decalre publicly that they are doing harm and you shall subject them

to credibility tests.

you study the shastras which prescribe these remedies and you

glorify them. do you say in groups that they need to be subjected

to credibility and brand them doing more harm than good.

eminent astrologers and sages (i dont want to name) have written

books on these remedies and you buy these books. do you criticise

them for suggesting quick fix remedies.

dear prafullaji, this is a free forum where members can get whatever

is offered freely. some querents ask and get more information

freely. but you cannot brand as if these astrologers are not

credible or not accountable as if they are working in an NGO funded

by you and hence they failed in dereliction of duty.

in several mails, you criticised the contributors to stop discussing

non jyotish contents whereas (after that post) you are the most

active contributor in most of these non jyotish threads. the owners

and moderators of this group are not demanding or suggesting or

asking these things. in fact once tanvirji clearly stated in a

public mail to discuss or share all knowledge freely. you are also

vocal in splitting the group or starting a separate group for

readings, discussions on jyotish, discussion on nonjyotish etc. old

contributors of this group (both jyotish and nonjyotish) have never

asked for this division and are comfortable with the way the group

owner is allowing every member to freely discuss non jyotish content

besides serious reading of charts.

members are greatly benefitting from various discussion threads as

well as reading of charts. but your public declaration of all

contributing astrologers who are giving free readings and suggesting

remedies DOING MORE HARM THAN GOOD, DAMAGES THE REPUTATION OF THIS

GROUP AND WARNS THE QUERENTS THAT HERE IS A GROUP WHERE YOU FIND

ASTROLOGERS WHO ARE NOT CREDIBLE, WHO SUGGEST REMEDIES AND CAUSE

HARM TO YOU. ALAS, IN KALIYUGA EVEN THOSE WHO ARE CONTRIBUTING

FREELY ARE TERMED AS DOING HARM TO OTHERS.

Arjunji,

With due regards, the arguments in JR are continuing to grow. Almost

every thread ends in a heated acrimony and personal exchanges.

Why?

Prafulla, here is neither questioning the need for astrology and

astrologers. In this forum, questions are asked freely and replies

given even more freely. One can find instances of queries being

answered within minutes of their being posted suggesting that the

person who is answering is not even pausing to give time to himself to

read the chart.

There are astrologers or Jyotishis in this group who are very young

too. There are astrologers who have spend a year in astrology and

others with much more experience like Tatvamasiji, you and others who

have decades of experience in Jyotish.

While there are few complaints about wrong readings, we can see a

prediction and then within a week the querist saying thankyous. Is

this what Jyotish is all about?

Are we here merely to provide aspiring jyotishis a platform to

practise their skills on unsuspecting querists.

You , Sir are a senior and experienced member of this forum. Please

find ways to stop the discussions from being personal battles.

And look at this, already this is the beginning of yet another

confrontation!

Dear Rishi ji

a quick note. Another ugly thing - where so called "holy astrologers" people post with multiple Ids; for which eGroup admin is very strict.

I might be taking up this issue with them, for required actions as well on such practices.

Yes, I agree - people knowing astrology for less than few years, are projecting and using this as practising ground. Is it not harming natives?

my answer in only one sentence to all members is as follows:

read charts, exchange views or share knowledge in whichever way you

feel on whatever subject you want with 100% freedom and write

whatever comes in your mind, BUT DONT CRITICISE OTHERS.

ABSOLUTELY.

THE PROBLEMS START WHEN ONE ASTROLOGER/STUDENT/ MEMBER

CRITICISES ANOTHER atrologer/student/member.

LIVE AND LET LIVE.

Arjunji,

I agree, there is one request though.

Criticism should not only be avoided of the members of this group but

more importantly of those who are not here in this group to defend

themselves. We all can have differing viewpoints on Jyotisha and other

aspects of life which flow in normally in any discussion but do not

condemn others is also to be considered. Tolerance, in my opinion, is

the key.

And as I said, in another mail, whatever we do the Karma is ours, the

result ours, the price to be paid is by the doer of the karma.

Letus also remember this ..is my sincere suggestion.

Or the problems start - when people take generalized comment as personal - perhaps for some "guilt" or masked image !!

Shall let this pass. i can copy paste all the genralised comments

and any kid can make out whether they were personal or not. That

is called masking and garbing.

and if so much is known then please also reveal what guilt and what

masked image please ?

Bhaskarji,

And even if a member criticises another why does it become a

prestige issue each time.

Why do we need to prove anything to anybody. Where is the need to

react defensively or aggressively to every message.

Why dont we see that there are fluid transits all across the sky.

The pitra paksha sandwiched between grahans. The changing of Guru,

Rahu, Shani all on the anvil.

The conjunction of Shukra and Sun and almost a near triple

conjunction of Shukra, Mangal and Sun around the same time the slow

moving grahas are changing rashis and that too at nearly 10 degrees

Libra. Sun at 10 degrees libra..when the Venus conjunction takes

place.

Give up your anger, you or me are not important.

dear prafullaji

it would be prudent if we dont take this thread further, as it will

serve no good to anyone. the only reason i responded to your mail

is because of your finding the astrolgoers harmful in giving their

remedies. as regards forming opinions, everything is in black and

white and let people judge themselves instead of you or me saying

something.
